Chapter Four: Forest Everywhere
I was extremely sleepy but sleep was nowhere to come. My eyes didn't close for a second as I saw the city vanish and night erode. The buildings were nowhere to be seen and a creepy atmosphere had emerged. There was no one to see, the road had gone bumpy and the atmosphere was becoming misty.
I had always wished to spend some time in a beautiful farm without any anxiety, work and technology, but I had always imagined beautiful green fields and crystal blue lakes, instead of this crappy road.
I looked at my surroundings to notice forest on both of my sides. And that was when the car came to a halt.
I took a huge breath and opened my eyes.
I looked at my side to see that Adonis was nowhere to be seen. I looked out of the window to see his muscled back. It looked like he was talking to two men. The muscles of his arm bulged perfectly as he shifted his weight on his left foot and it made him look ten times more attractive than he already was. I noticed how perfectly he stood with his back arched straight and perfect.
Just then he turned, facing towards me making it seem like the cliché movie scene where the hero turns to glance at the heroin.
But was he the hero? No he was more like the villain.
I averted my eyes from him, not because I was angry at him but because I was scared of him. His eyes made me weak, his huge frame like it hovered over me made me feel like I was crushed under the mud, his deep voice made shivers run down my spine and his intimidating gaze was so powerful that it held me captive.
He took long strides towards me and then opened the car door making me crush under my seat. I looked in the front, pretending that I didn't know when he came, but soon it failed as his minty breathe reached my ears and he tucked a strand of my hair behind my ear.
"Look at me" he whispered.
And that was enough for me to move my gaze straight in his eyes. I instantly regretted that because my body started shaking and water welled up in my eyes.
God why do I have to be so weak?
"Now listen, pretend like you are asleep and I don't want you to move your gaze anywhere except my chest until I say so?" he commanded, with no emotion at all.
"Why ?" I asked and I was surprised at how weak my whisper voice.
His eyes turned a darker color at my sudden response and then suddenly he leaned closer to me, his beautiful face just inches away from my lips.
I noticed that how his face was perfectly sculpted, his cheek bones were just perfect and his jaw stood out perfectly. His face was hard and strict, his eyes motionless and empty and his face perfect with no freckles.
The only sound that could be heard was our heavy breathing.
I felt my hands grip the seat from underneath me. His eyes were not normal, there were golden sparkles roaming inside them and they were extremely powerful. My eyes became watery from staring into his eyes.
But I wasn't going to retreat.
"I can go myself." I whispered.
And then suddenly he jerked back.
"Go on." He motioned me, with no emotion at all.
Reluctantly I stepped out of the car, to breathe in the misty air of the forest.
My eyes roamed in every corner until they landed on four shining green eyes.
I gasped in horror at what was in front of me. There were two grey wolfs staring straight at me. And they were not the normal size, they were something extremely huge. Their eyes sparkled perfectly under the moon and then their eyes met mine.
Their eyes met mine and then they snarled at me, their teeth grazing at me and took a step towards me.
My body was shaking; I couldn't decipher what was happening so I took a step back.
And they took one close to me.
I kept on stepping behind, my body shaking with fear until my back collided with a wall, not a wall but Adonis's muscled chest.
His strong arms wrapped around my sweaty and shaking figure and he easily lifted me in my arms. I gripped on his shirt, hiding my face in his muscled chest not wanting to see how the wolves would attack us.
But nothing happened: Adonis kept walking.
I turned my head to see the two wolves leading us and that was when I noticed the forest. The forest was extremely dark. It was so soundless that even the soft susurration of the branches felt heavy in the ears. The loam of the earth and the decomposing leaves made the atmosphere close and thick. The darkness of the forest nurtured a sense of claustrophobia inside of me even though the woodland seemed to stretch for unbroken miles.
I turn my head again in the chest of my kidnapper and close my eyes, trying to enjoy the light breeze the wind had just started to create when suddenly he stops.
He carefully puts me down, while keeping a firm grip on my waist.
My eyes first land on the sky which has suddenly turned a Tuscany blue. This was magical. I couldn't believe my eyes.
I notice that the wolves go behind the tree for which I was relieved.
And then I notice what was in my front.
The lake appeared as if by magic. It was in tea drop silver color and it was shaped liked a perfectly flat disc of metal. No sound rang from the shimmering emptiness of space around it. Monastery quiet, it was lined up with pine trees and the whiff of mint wafted up my nose. The idyllic scene took my breath away and I gasped in amazement.
And then I heard a swooping voice in the sky. I look up to see a helicopter land in our direction.
Chapter Eighteen: Tonight you are mine."Shit." Alexander cursed loudly."What?" I asked."He is outside, I can sense him!" he told me."What now?" I asked him, panic rising in me.I wasn't ready to face him yet, not now."Hide." he said, while pushing me under Ozymandius's table."But..." I started to protest, but before I could do so the door opened. My heart raced its beat."Hola brother!" Alexander greeted him."What are you doing here?" he whispered, his morning voice so sexy.Oh my hormones."Just came to find you." Alexander told him."And what do you want?" he asked."Well nothing except that I wanted your credit card, you know I visited Pearl yesterday and she was asking for some things." he told him.The nerve of him, he was trying to ga
Chapter Seventeen: I'm sorry"Mom whats for dinner tonight?" I asked as I plopped on the sofa."Sorry sweety, date night. You would have to go with a pizza tonight." she smiled. Her green eyes beamed with sympathy because she knew how much I loved food made by her."Umm Okey, I'm going to work." Chapter Sixteen: I can't do it like this.Alexander led me to the car with unspoken words speaking so much. My body was still shaking as I sat in the car and soon we were on the way.I rolled down the window to inhale the fresh air. The sky was turning dark orange and with in some hours night would prevail. Sometimes nature gives us peace that no one can give.My heart was beating fast as the events of today prevailed over me. It is a wonder that so much can happen within a mere day."Hey Pearl." Alexander whispered reaching for my hand."Can you please change the atmosphere, talk about something better?" I asked him.I knew he could do this and this was just what I needed.I know that running away from my problems was not the best of the solutions but being an anxiety patient, I didnt want to overthink anything more than I had already thought."Can I take
Chapter Fifteen: Bite him in the wingsHe was not walking or running, he was flying. His dark black wings moved perfectly as he flew in the sky.The wind in the sky and his fast fly rate made it impossible for me to open my eyes. The mark was paining extremely hard, I could almost hear my pulse. And then I heard it. I heard a voice inside me.'Pearl bite him hard in the wings.' It was Ozymandius. I could hear him. He was extremely furious. My blood raced. My body was shaking in fear as andreline rushed through my vains. But this was my chance, I had to be my own hero. I had to prove myself that I was capable of myself.I stared down, and there stood all the people of the pack shooting arrows at the monster.I gripped his neck tightly. My self defense classes were to work right now. And with full force I bit the left side of his wing.
Chapter Fourteen: Gone with the windI knew his eyes were on me, speaking with me in silent words. But today, I was the player. I would tease him to the extent. I pretended he didn't exist as I said good bye to the guests.I could practically feel it when he came closer and softly but swiftly slided his arms around my waist. My body was on fire. The tingles made it even more hard to resist."Go to the room,im coming." he whispered into my ear.I smiled, an innocent smile and softly sweeped away from his arms. My body felt cold but today was my turn to play.I followed Alexander and Zara as they made their way to the kitchen."Don't tell me you are gonna make out in the kitchen!" I groaned. They both turned their heads to me, clearly unaware of my presence and Zara blushed, a deep crimson red."Okey so here is the deal, I need to hide from your brother. So c
Chapter Thirteen: Under the starsMy eyes stared at the stars, shining so bright at the extremely late hours if night. My lips still felt swollen after the magical moment I had shared with Ozymandius today. This was the first time I had seen some emotion coming from him. He was extremely possessive when it came to me. He had told me that I was his but I wondered if I was like a mistress to him."What are you doing here?" a voice came."The sky is awake so I'm awake!" I dramatized as Alexander draped an arm around me."You are in the mood, huh" he chuckled.I turned my face at him, displaying the most innocent smile I could."Who was that girl?" I asked. And that was when he smiled, a serious smile. His features softened as he gave a long stare at the stars."I have found her. She is my soulmate." he whispered."Are you sure?"
