2024-10-29 19:42:56Stan had visited the mayor earlier but met her absence. Though she was informed of his visit, she was too busy with matters of state and preparations of Collen’s war with the priest in the mainlands to think of anything else.
Stan did not mind revisiting whether or not she responded to the many messages he dropped by the house through her servants. After all, his reason for the urgent visit to him was also a matter of state and was in fact of more importance to her than anyone else.
This time, he met her presence and was booked to see her after the other guests. He was more than happy to wait and the mayor had also instructed them to entertain him with food and drinks while he waited for her. Stan had so much to eat and drink; he was treated like a special guest. He waited for long hours and almost fell asleep in the lobby where he waited.
Finally, the mayor showed up. She approached him with a wide smile on her face on seeing how tired he was.
