Raul took a deep breath standing at the front door of Ella’s house. He had been standing there for almost five minutes contemplating within himself whether or not to knock on the door.
Meanwhile, Ella was watching him from her window, unseen. She chuckled at his confused state, studying his expressions to know what he was up to. Raul kept his cool and made up his mind to leave without being noticed. Ella watched him walk down the stairs and then she opened the window and called out to him.
“Is that the best option?”
He was a little stunned. He turned to look at her window to see her looking out and smiling at him.
“I wanted to check if you were home but then I remembered you usually work late on Mondays. Didn’t realize you were back early.” Raul lied.
“Hmm… so what now?” she folded her arms gazing at him. She knew he was making it up but she wanted him to come into her house willingly.
Ella bent to look into his eyes. she looked a little tipsy. Her lips were red and tempting. Raul swallowed hard as he gazed into her eyes while she spoke so close to him. He could feel her breath on his face. It smelled of wine.“Do you want me too?” she almost whispered. Her voice seemed faint.Raul was silent. He managed a smile; he was speechless. She made to kiss him but he gently turned away and got on his feet. “You’re drunk Ella. You need to rest. We can continue this talk tomorrow.”“I’m fine. I hardly drank…” her speech was interrupted by a loud hiccup.Raul scoffed and helped her room. “C’mon now… I’ll help you to your room so you can sleep it off.”“No! I want an answer right now.” She hesitated but Raul ignored her gestures and since he was stronger than she was, he carried her up to her bedroom and laid her gently in bed. He t
Stan frowned. He had gotten so used to Hayley and did not like the idea of her leaving him.“You can’t go… what happens to me; to us?”Hayley gazed at him with pity in her eyes.Kara had invited Hayley to come live with her at her house so they could spend time together as sisters and catch up. Stan did not like the idea. He had gotten used to living with Hayley and the whole town thought that they would be married someday.Hayley liked Stan too but she saw him as a friend. More so, she had missed her sister so much. Living with her was like a dream come true for her. She had looked forward to this day for many years and never thought it would come true.“Oh, Stan! I already told you how much I missed her when she left our town. I was just five years old. I never knew her. please allow me the opportunity to spend some time with my sister.” Hayley pleaded for his understanding. “I wish things could be diffe
It was 6 am and Raul was getting ready for work. He was in the kitchen, as usual, fixing himself some breakfast when Claire walked in for a glass of juice.“Good morning.” He greeted her even though she tried to ignore him.She eyed him and sat on the stool by the kitchen table. “I thought you were not talking to me?”“Why wouldn’t I? whatever happens between you and Kal is none of my business.” He replied as he sat down to eat.“Hmmm… he’s your friend, Raul. So if you’re mad, I’ll understand.” She took a sip.“Hey!” he called out softly. “I’m serious; you’re the one getting this all wrong. I really have no business with whatever you do with my friend. You made your decision and that’s fine by me.”Claire and Kal broke up. She had broken up the relationship with him that night he caught her kissing another guy at school. S
May was gradually healing and her memories were returning to her. She could not remember her way back to the Northern aisles and so she remained with Modi in the Southern aisles as his luna but on her terms. She no longer felt the love she used to feel for him. Modi was now living like she was the one ruling over him. He did not mind living like that so long as she remained with him. May played on Modi’s love for her; she seized it as an opportunity to gain favors.Since Hayley and the priest’s disappearance, May had been avoiding Modi. She would always lock herself up in her lair and Modi would be forced to send servants to check up on her or he would, sometimes if he could not bear the thought of not seeing her for a whole day. He would ask his servants to ask her for whatever she wanted; sometimes, she would ask for ridiculous things and Modi would try to satisfy her desires at all cost.Modi decided to talk with her after so many months of keepin
Flint had sent spies to the Southern aisles who returned to give him news of what they saw. This time, he was watching a video recording of Modi’s narration to Lucas and the minions of his encounter with the priest. He sat calmly watching the video quietly. Modi narrated that he met the priest as a kid once when he went hunting with his father. The priest is indeed a human. He was lying lifeless beside the stream where he and his father used to hunt every fortnight. The priest was a teenager at the time while Modi was about three years old.He called his father’s attention to the scene, his father came running thinking his son was in danger. He arrived at the scene quickly pulled his son to protect him from the human he saw. Modi was not in the bit scared. He obeyed his father and remained calm. He had pleaded with his father to assist the human which he did even though he knew that it was against the laws of their land. His father took the priest to
Lucas’ luna wrapped her head with a scarf and on seeing that Lucas was still out late, she stepped out of the palace. She transformed and was heading towards the village center on the outskirts of their town. She approached a dark corner and returned to her human form. Someone was waiting there for her. It was not clear who the person was. She sat on the other side of the wall separating the Western aisles from the outskirts Southern aisle.“What news do you have for me?” the voice belonged to a female. It asked her calmly.“I think there might be trouble in the mainlands. My alpha is planning an attack on an enemy soon. You promised to help me and my son when the time comes. Now is the time to fulfill your promise.” She replied with fear in her voice.“Hmm… is this all you have heard?” the voice asked ignoring her tantrums. She paused and took a deep breath to relax. “Yes.”&ldquo
Flint made up his mind to go back to where the priest was despite losing the video device. He was skeptical about going back for it because he thought that the priest may have picked it up and gone through it.He tried to put all the speculations behind him to forge ahead with his plans. He arrived at the same spot and was shocked to see that the place looked different. He looked around, searching for the video device but could not find it. It then dawned on him that he may have just stepped into a trap.As soon as he realized this he made to leave but was surrounded by werewolves ready for a battle. He was in his human form and kept his cool. Then, the priest showed up from behind his slaves clapping his hands.“Well played…” he commented sarcastically.Flint stood and watched him in silence; formulating a strategy for his escape in his head.“I knew you would come back.” He continued and pointed the video device at
The world of the originals was like heaven for Raul. He had started adapting to their way of life and almost forgot his purpose for the visit to the human world. He finally moved to his new apartment with the help of Tom and Heather who assisted him in getting the place. Claire also helped him move. It was a weekend and school was closed for the weekend.Kal was there too, he was moving boxes from the truck into the apartment. It was a small apartment but it had everything anyone would need in a home and most importantly, it was comfortable. Virgil was there too; he was also moving boxes from the truck to the apartment while Heather and Claire did the cleaning and arrangement.Raul and Tom helped with fixing some broken parts in the apartment. It was a full house and by evening, they were famished. They ordered pizza and some drinks to relax and quench their hunger. Raul was with Tom, Heather with Claire while Kal and Virgil were together in one corner of the house.
