I woke up with a heavy feeling in my eyes, as if I had been sleeping for an eternity. The absence of Julie, who had left while I was away yesterday, only added to the disoriented state of my mind. I ran my hands through my hair and rubbed my forehead, trying to shake off the remnants of sleep.
