Chapter Two: Warning!

Wiping his tears, he clutched at her very tightly

He slammed the door next to him, and left his room, leaving him to look at him with great sadness, before he too went, in order to prepare himself for another boring day.

"He went out early in the morning, sir."

He stood where he was, without putting a single morsel in, and moved to the only place where he could be, after being unable to find him anywhere else.

"I knew I would find you here."

He said, while looking at his son, who was carrying a sword, while he was training near the river in a place that no one knows except him and his father.

"when did you come back"

Lucien approached him, caressing his hair

"Yesterday, I'm sorry I didn't come to see you."

He said, sitting on a tree stump, for Ethan to sit next to him

“How was the task of suppressing dark beasts?”

"Good, it wasn't as dangerous as I expected."

Lucien replied while looking at his son, who was an exact copy of him, except for his red eyes like his mother's eyes

"Mom, look, I made this for you."

A childish voice interrupted their conversation. They both looked at a child the same age as Ethan, who was giving his mother a bouquet of flowers.

"It's very pretty, but it would be nicer if it were on my prince's head."

The boy laughed happily, kissed his mother's cheek, and ran around, leaving Ethan to catch up with his looks.

"How does it feel to have a mother ?"

Lucian's eyes widened, as Ethan said

"I wonder if my mother loved me that way, too?"

He swallowed a lump in his throat, how could he tell him that he didn't even allow her to see his face, and satisfy her heart with him?

"Have you finished training today?"

Ethan's smile widened, and he looked at his father arrogantly

"Of course, I have become strong. I have trained a lot when you was on your mission. You better watch out for me, because I will become the Alpha King."

Lucien laughed, lovingly caressing his son's hair

"Yes, you will be the Alpha King, but first you must defeat me."

Ethan looked at him with determination

"I will, I will beat you dad, I am strong"

Lucien laughed, lovingly looking at his son

Ethan laughed happily, he feels flattered and happy when his father compares him to his mother, which makes Lucien's heartbreak grow more and more.

"Let's go back, I heard you didn't have breakfast."

Ethan laughed, grabbed his father's hand, and moved with him back into the pack house

"Ethan"

An unpleasant voice made Lucien close his eyes, and look at his father standing behind him

"Good morning dear"

"Good morning grandpa, how are you?"

said Ethan, while Arthur approached him, stroking his hair

"I'm not okay, I'm sad you didn't come to visit me."

Ethan looked at his father, who caressed his hair

"Sorry, my father was on a mission, and I was training. I didn't have time to visit you. Sorry, grandpa ."

"It's okay champ, I'm glad I have a grandson as strong as you, Ethan."

Lucian approached him, removing Arthur's hand without Ethan noticing

"Come on, go home, I'll catch up with you soon."

Ethan nodded, saying goodbye to his grandfather before running home

"Why are you trying to take my grandson away from me, I am his grandfather?"

Lucien ignored him, and moved to leave for Arthur to catch up

"Why didn't you come to the palace, I miss you."

Lucian stood up, looking at his father in a dark way

“Can we stop this charade, you know that this status and that palace don’t matter to me?”

Arthur kept looking at him, before laughing hard

"Really, I did not know that, for what I do know is that you gave up a lot for the sake of this position and this palace."

"Yes, I gave up a lot of things, the value of which I did not know until it was too late, so I no longer care about anything but my son."

Arthur laughed, looking at him provocatively

"Don't tell me you're talking about the traitor."

Lucian grabbed his neck, squeezing it very hard

"Don't talk about my mate like that, you know very well who the traitor is, who manipulated me and made me lose her."

Arthur laughed hard, before looking at him coldly

"Lucien Can you step out of victim's role ? Everyone knows that you killed your mate of your own free will, no one forced you to do it."

Lucien kept looking at him with oppression and sadness, for this is the truth , and he could not deny it, he threw his father away from him, then he turned into a wolf and started running away into the forest, as if he was trying to escape from the truth.

Arthur remained where he was, looking at Lucien spitefully

"However, it is not over yet. You are only a pawn Lucien . I will dispose you as I did to your mate , because I will do anything to reach my goal."

He said while looking at Lucien's house next to him...
