Chapter 64: The announcement
As we danced, I spotted Max over Leo's shoulder, leaning against one of the huge pillars on the edge of the hall. He was glaring directly at me. Absolutely furious. I opened my mouth to say something to Leo but he raised his eyebrow, before mouthing something at me like 'I wouldn't if I were you'. I closed my mouth and instead just smiled at Leo, who was completely oblivious to the whole thing. When I looked back, Max was gone.
About ten minutes later, I found myself with Lia and Allison drinking far more champagne than will do us any good.
