Safe Haven

The fishes swam past tickling my feet as they did but it wasn't funny.

The river bank had turned my safe haven, my solace and my favorite spot in the village.

Must be the fact I was found lifeless in this very river and I still am.

Yes I may be breathing, eating, walking and going for regular check ups in the hospital but that wasn't living that was surviving.

Life has been a blur this past month.I've been close to the villagers and found a small house with them but I missed my home.

"Eden '' a voice called behind me, making me pull my legs out of the River and standing in a defensive stance.

"Woah easy easy there fighter" he said raising his hand up in surrender,a corny smile playing on his lips.

How many times do I tell you to not sneak up on me" I said, shoving him.
