Hunger to kill her

The next morning felt so unique and calming for Eden. She had never felt that warm and cool at the same time in a very long time. Waking up to see the one man she loved and had always adored was a blessing on its own. 

 A smile formed on her face as the early morning sun radiated into the house, its ray piercing her closed eyes. Although not opening her eyes, she was satisfied knowing her long time crush and lover was still on the same bed with her. It was finally a dream come true after so long. How would Lucas react if he actually finds out that her feelings for him were real? Would he be just as excited as she was or he would be upset? 

Regardless of whatever he would think, she just wanted to savor and enjoy the moment. She was going to try to won his heart eventually. 

“Hmm” Lucian stretched as he struggled to open his eyes. Not wanting to breed any form of suspicion, Eden moved her palm quickly from his chest. She had not realized when she had placed her hands on his chest but feeling his heartbeat, she wasn’t ready to take it off any time soon, save for the thoughts he could have concerning her. 

Eden was determine to be strong and not show her feelings since the feeling wasn’t mutual. She would be very embarrassed if he got to know about it. Eden quickly turned to the other side of the bed, pretending to be asleep. It was going to be awkward if he realized she was awake. What would she tell him she was doing?

“Wakie wakie, it’s morning!” Lucian placed a kiss on Eden's cheeks. Her cheeks turned red immediately as she blushed. Did he really place a kiss on her cheeks?

“Hmm” She struggled on the bed, as if wrestling to stand up. 

“The day has started” Lucian added, getting up as well and heading to the shower. Forcefully yawning, Eden opened her mouth widely releasing a chuckle from Lucian's lips as he entered almost immediately. 

“Good morning, how was your night?” Lucian questioned as he watched her stretch lazily. She nodded in response and then placed her hands on her eyes, rubbing it. She was really good in her acting game. 

“I would take my shower now” He informed her as though he needed her permission to take his bath. Not surprised, she nodded in agreement. 

“Well, I was thinking we should have….”

He paused as he stood by the door, leading to the bathroom. Her eyes widened in shock. Her heart began to race as well as she suddenly became nervous. She hoped he wasn’t going to say what she had actually thought he was going to say. Eden stared at his back as she hoped he would not say it even though a part of her wanted him to say it. A part of her wanted to take a shower with him but she quickly killed the thought as she didn’t want to embarrass herself. 

“We should have what?” She questioned, hoping he would complete the statement but he was mute as he stared at the door, perhaps thinking if to complete his statement or not. 

“Were you trying to say something?” She questioned again, secretly praying within herself that he would complete his statement. 

Lucian sighed and then turn to her, with a smile on his face. 

“I was thinking we should have our bath in time so we would not be late to see the elders. We have to fix a date for your coronation so I would go in and have my bath now and afterwards, you could have your bath. Is that fine by you or what do you think?” He questioned, staring at her lazy eyes that looked exhausted even though she had had enough sleep. 

Eden's heart dropped. She knew that was not what he wanted to say.  

‘What does she think? Of course, to have a bath with him!’ She wanted to scream at him but then again, a fake smile was plastered on her face as she responded to him as well.

“Whichever option you pick is fine by me” She agreed. 

“I will go in now” He bowed. “My Alpha” He added. Of course, he knew the right words to day to make her happy and this was no exception. He was able to release a loud laughter from her mouth. Amused by his words, she shook her head. It was hard to believe he was just a friend to her. He was her crush and had been her crush for so long. Why can’t their marriage be real and genuine.

Maya was upset as she hissed repeatedly. She was tired of the while drama. Despite it being just a few days, she could not wait to grab Lucian in her hands again. She could not wait for the whole plan to be achieved. 

“I want to kill her!” Maya yelled, throwing away the plates that we’re in the rack in the kitchen. Immediately, all the plates came crashing down, breaking into pieces. 

“Maya!” Her mother rushed in, holding her chest. Hearing the sounds of the crashing plates had sent her into a state of frenzy. She had not imagined anything more than Maya being in trouble. 

“Oh Maya!” She sighed as she entered the kitchen. Maya was standing against one of the cabinet, staring outside to behold the beautiful early morning sun that was just forming. 

“I hate her! I want to crush her and destroy her!” She yelled angrily as several thoughts ran through her mind. That moment, all she could think of was Eden and Lucina being together. Was he going to make love to her? Was he kissing her? Was he telling her he loved her?

She just could not control the several thoughts that filled her head and her mind. She could not imagine her man professing love to another woman and now, he is? Even to her friend?

“I have a plan” Her mother suddenly suggested, a devilish smile spread across her lips.
