Insulted

"You must be the new human added to the harem" when Iris heard a sweet voice, she turned to face a beautiful woman.

"Good morning your highness" all the maids greeted Mina by going on to their knees.

"Raise" Mina said, showing Iris that she has the upper hand here. 

The moment Iris looked at Mina, her gut instinct told her not to trust her at all. To her eyes, Mina looked like a snake in sheep's clothing.

Iris didn't bother to reply to Mina's comment. Instead, she turned her face away and ignored the woman.

When Iris blatantly ignored Mina, it made her angry. 

"Didn't anyone told you to show respect to the one's who bear higher rank than you ?" she asked arrogantly. 

Iris snorted sarcastically.

"That's why my maids bowed to you" she replied nonchalently.

She is already irritated to be trapped in this world. On top of that, she doesn't have enough patience to deal with arrogant good for nothing woman like her.

That made Mina angry. Lillith and the maids are shocked as well. 

"Mistress, she is our future empress and the future mate of his highness. You should not talk to her like that" the maids assigned to Iris hurriedly cautioned their mistress.

Iris snorted.

"He is going to marry her? Good for them. His arrogance and her ego will suit with each other just fine. The match made in heaven" she commented.

Mina became furious.

"You filthy human. How dare you disrespect your elder like this. You are just a mere human and we are the superior race. If i want, i can crush you like a leaf under my feet" Mina threatened angrily.

Their verbal exchange caught the attention of other concubines who were passing by. They all stopped to see what is happening here.

Iris shook her head with sympathy.

"What are you guys eating here? Are they feeding you drugs? All of you sound the same. You repeat the same words like a recorder. I am bored of listening the same thing again and again.  It would be a pleasure if i don't have listen to this nonsense again" Iris muttered the last part with irritation.

Everyone frowned.

"Drugs? What are drugs?" Lilith asked out of curiosity.

Mina glared at her maid, which made Lilith panic.

"Please forgive me mistress. I made a mistake" Lilith begged.

Iris rolled her eyes  looking at the scene playing in front of her.

"Women shouldn't talk back at men in this world. Looks like women doesn't have the rights to talk to other women as well" Iris mocked.

Mina is already angry, and Iris's attitude is not helping her either.

"You filthy human, how dare you. The other concubines in the harem are scared to even look at me. But you dare to speak rashly in front of me? I will teach you a lesson today" Mina sneered.

Iris laughed at Mina's out burst.

"Really? Your face is red and smoke is coming from your ears. No wonder they are all scared. You look like a devil's incarnation. It's not something to boost about" iris made fun of Mina, which made the other concubines and maids giggle behind their palms.

Mina glared at the others, who stopped laughing immediately. She raised her palm to slap Iris, but Iris caught her wrist and squeezed with all her might to cause pain. Mina winced and pulled her arm back with pain.

When she looked at her bruised wrist, she galred at Iris.

"Impossible, You are not human. A human doesn't have this much energy to hurt us. You are a witch. Look at her, she came to curse our kingdom" Mina accused Iris.

Iris clicked her tongue sympathetically.

"Tsk, tsk"

"Are you nuts? I don't starve myself to look slim like you do. Your body is just a collection of bones and skin. There is no muscle there. It's fairly easy to bruise a bony princess like you" she taunted Mina.

Mina frowned. She didn't understand half of what Iris just said. 

"Which language are you talking in? Is this the language witches use? Bones? Muscles?" she asked with confusion.

Iris sighed and rubbed her temples tiredly.

"Damn this woman. She is as dumb as a an oyster" she muttered.

Mina understood this.

"What? You are calling me dumb and comparing me an oyster? I will kill you today" Mina lunged at Iris, But the latter stepped away, making mina fall on the grass.

Everyone began to laugh looking at Mina. Even Lilith joined them.

Eros was passing by with Maxim and a few of his advisers in tow. He happened to hear Mina's words of killing Iris and then lunging at the human woman to kill her. He frowned. This is not the Mina he knows. The personality Mina presents herself in front of others is gentle. She never let others provoke her. But he himself heard her verbal confession and the anger in her words.

"I told you she is not as good as she pretends to be" Maxim whispered from behind him.

Yes, his right hand man and friend shared his doubts about Mina a time or two. But Eros ignored it. He thought as long as he is good in bed, he dosnet care about the rest. But now he announced her as the Future Empress and his mate. If this is how she conducts herself in public, its an insult to the throne.

He saw how Iris stepped away and Mina fell down.

"This woman is pure trouble" he muttered looking at Iris, who is now laughing with others.

'Why doesn't she laugh with me like that? What does she feel that i lack? ' he wondered.

Maxim knows about which woman his friend is talking about. He likes Iris more than Mina. If it comes to choose between them, he will always opt for Iris for his friend.

"Then go and drag your woman away so that she wouldn't cause trouble" Maxim teased Eros.
