11. In Opposite Directions

Ayden stared at me for some seconds before facing the road again. Wasn't he going to answer?

"I don't have any relation to him. Why do you ask?" He finally spoke.

"Isn't it weird that you both have the same name?" I asked, arching my brows and trying to monitor his expressions. As usual, his face was void of emotion.

"It's just a coincidence. Many people share the same name." He answered, pushing down on the accelerator as the car started moving faster than before. My heart almost sank into my stomach, I pleaded with him to drive slower but he continued, tightening his grip on the steering wheel. I could see the veins in his neck swell up.

Oh, my days! What did I say wrong now?

"Stop it Ayden! You're gonna get us killed!" I screamed at the top of my voice and he suddenly came to a halt. I almost hit my head on the dashboard but thank goodness I was wearing a seatbelt. We both panted heavily, exchanging glances.
