Chapter 5 look at me

In the Big beautiful room. 

"Finally, I have killed everyone that took your life dad and mom. I even proved to everyone that I am the real king of the werewolf kings, I am the only royal blood. I just hope that I can fall asleep without any guilt" Ashton, the Alpha king said with a satisfied smile on his handsome face, sitting on the sofa, on the balcony, staring at the beautiful sky, which is filled with stars. 

"what about our mate then?!" Aldon, his wolf asked in anger, he didn't like the way Ashton treated Elena, thier mate. 

"I didn't kill her because of you! you should be thankful than screaming at me like a madman" Ashton growled back in anger. he is already so angry that he couldn't kill her, while his wolf is asking him to do something he can never think of in his life.

"But .... she is our mate! we should love her and not hurt her like this!" Aldon said again, trying to make him understand his side, trying to change Ashton's mind. 

"Stop this right now, Aldon! no matter what happens! I am not going to accept her as my mate or the queen of this kingdom! you know about my past and the pain that I undergo till now! you should be grateful that I didn't kill her" Ashton shouted back at Aldon in frustration and blocks him so he won't be disturbed again.

Ashton took a long sigh trying to control his anger. Then he raised his head to look at the moon and whispered "she should thank the moon goddess for making her, my mate". after staring at it for a few minutes. 

Ashton got up from the sofa and walks inside and lays down on his bed, trying to take a rest, no matter how hard he tried, he can't sleep. his body is tired but he can't sleep. He tried all the methods but nothing worked. Ashton got up in frustration and sat on the bed with a sigh.

"I still can't sleep? why?  why me? I thought after ending all this will help me, but it's not helping me!" Ashton shouted in pain and frustration. His parents were killed in front of his own eyes, which left a deep scar on his heart, and from then on, he can't sleep, no matter how tired he was. He used that to work hard before to take revenge but even after that, he can't sleep. It's frustrating and painful to handle. He just lays down, hoping that he will sleep, just like every day but he can't do that. 

Next day.

*Knock* *Knock*

Elena woke up from her sleep when she heard "What are you still doing?! wake up and come out!", someone shouted at her from the door. She got up from the bed and walks towards the door and opens it. The woman stopped knocking on the door and stared at Elena's face, which is so red, her eyes are puffy with tear stains on her cheeks. 

She was stunned and kept staring at her face until Elena spoke "who are you?". She comes back to reality and shouted again "This is not your home, you have works to do! I am letting you go this once because it's your first day! now get ready in 5 mins, I will be back to get you!".

Elena just nodded her head and closed the door, just feeling numb. She is still shocked by everything that happened in her life and suddenly, she has to accept a new and totally different life, within a few hours.

Elena turned around to look for the uniform, blindly following her words. when she saw her uniform on the shelf, near a mirror. Her eyes widen, seeing her reflection, then her face twisted into a sad smile, her eyes turning teary, just seeing her condition. Everything changed just a few hours ago, losing everyone and everything in her life other than her life. She took a long sigh, trying to not think about the most painful moment in her life, as she took the dress and went to the bathroom for a bath and changed dress. 

Then she just tie her hair in a bun and walks out of the room, as she saw the woman from earlier. Her eyes widen as soon as she saw Elena, the most beautiful princess of the most powerful pack in the kingdom. Everyone knows about Elena and only a few have seen her because of how protective everyone around her was. 

"I am ready for the work," Elena said, feeling numb and ignoring her stare. That woman shook her head a little and said softly "yes, come with me" and started to walk, Elena just following her without thinking about anything. 

"My name is kate, princess Elena," Kate said, turning to look at Elena with a smile. Elena raised her head and saw Kate and said "I am not a princess anymore, I am just a slave, don't call me that, just treat me like you treat everyone else", with a numb feeling.

"yes," Kate said with a sigh, she always wanted to see Elena at least once in her life, after hearing a lot about her, but she never expected this type of meeting. 

They both walk down to the hall, where people were cleaning. That's when Elena raised her head to see the place, her eyes widening in shock at seeing the beauty of this palace. She was never been to the palace because her dad never allowed her to come with him and it was her first time to see such a big palace. 

"Elena?" Kate called her making Elena look back at Kate, returning back to the reality that she is just a slave here, and asks "Ahh? yes?". "what happened? do you need something?" Kate asked confused. Elena shook her head and then they went to the kitchen. 

Elena saw the massive kitchen in front of her, which is so beautiful. "Here, Elena, take this to His Highness's room and don't make any mistakes. His highness will always be angry every morning and if you make any mistakes then he will just kill you," Kate said, staring at Elena with a warning look, handing out the plate, which has coffee and some cookies. Elena just nodded her head, taking the plate from Kate, asking "I understood, but where is 'his Highness' room?", she hated it when calling Ashton his Highness.

"fellow me, I will show you that," Kate said with a smile and started to walk. Elena just followed but she can see people whispering and looking at her weirdly. She doesn't care about that and is only here because of the young wolves. 

Kate walked Elena in the same direction as her room. Elena observed this and asked in confusion "aren't we going in the same direction as my room?". Kate nodded her head and said, "yes, Elena, His Highness's room is just a few steps away from your room, you are his personal slave so you should be with him all the time".

Elena took a long sigh and nodded her head in understanding, trying her best not to react. She doesn't want to see the face of a man, who killed her family, just after a few hours, but does she have a right to ask a question and reject it? No, she doesn't and can't do anything other than follow all the things that he tells her to do.

Kate stopped in front of Ashton's room and turned to look at Elena and said "This is His highness's room, you can get inside and remember, don't make him angry and just do everything that he tells you to do". Elena nodded her head and forced a smile and said "thanks a lot, I can take it from here".

Elena took a long sigh, praying to the moon goddess "Please don't make him angry, Moon goddess". She knocks on the door and asks with respect or trying her best to have respect in her voice "His highness, I brought your coffee, can I come inside?".

"yes" She heard Ashton's faint voice behind the door. Elena can tell something is wrong with his voice but she didn't care, she pushed open the door and walks inside and saw Ashton sitting on the beautiful sofa in front of his bed, with his bathrobe in his legs crossed. Ashton's sharp red eyes meet her beautiful brown ones, His handsome face didn't show anything other than emptiness. He is so handsome with his clean shaved face, his sharp Jawline, his red eyes, his pointed nose, and a perfect face, his long hair falling on his handsome face, his muscular body hugging the bathrobe and his face looks so fresh even in the morning without having a bath.

"what are you doing there?" His voice distracted Elena from staring at him. when she heard her wolf shout at her "I know that our mate is really handsome but what the hell are you even thinking in a time like this? didn't you hear, what Kate said before?!". Elena looks down to her feet and walks close to him and places the plate on the table, in front of him, and said "your coffee, your highness".

Ashton just stared at Elena, who is avoiding eye contact. "look at me" He said in his cold voice, making her body freeze and follow his order, she raised her head to look at his eyes.
