Ascending down the stairs I walked down the corridor to go to my room. I was about to enter when I noticed the lights of Alex's room were still on. Strange. She was saying during dinner that she was going to bed early but the lights…

Maybe she had left the lights on and had fallen asleep. I walked to her room and knocked . No response came from the other side.

I did not want to disturb her.Thinking she was still sleeping I turned the door knob and entered the room . I stopped on the track . The room was empty. My eyes fell on something. I walked close to the window and picked up the bedsheet. Whose one end was hanging outside and the other was tied to the bed's leg. Looking out of the window I saw a series of bedsheets tied to each other's ends.

Damn it where the hell did she escape from this window and why? Nothing had happened if I remember clearly then where did she go?

I pulled the sheets up . One of the knots must have opened because few of the sheets were lying
