Chapter 89: At the Garden

Annie's POV

I abruptly woke up gasping for air. Heavy breathing.

I was too bewildered by the dream I had.

Who was that man inside my dreams? Why did it seem like I knew him all of my life? Why did it feel that it wasn't Alpha Trace?

I absentmindedly hugged myself. I tried to observe myself. That was when I felt soreness down between my thighs.

Did Alpha Trace enter my room?

I wandered my eyes at my surroundings. I'm all alone. The space on my bed was still vacant, unlike the past nights I was here. It didn't look like someone had been there.

I frowned a bit. Not that I was disappointed that Alpha Trace didn't sleep with me. It was the very fact that I was all alone. It felt like no one was there to even comfort me in my solitude.

I realized that this world is nothing but a cruel place for someone like me. There was not a place for a weakling like me.
