Lyra POV

Still with pain in my lungs, I stood up as the whole slave also did.

We all, in our huge numbers, stepped into the field with pain in our souls, but we all are also prohibited from expressing such feelings to the world.

I was always kept in the front of the queue for a reason which I quite don't know, but I always hated the fact they placed me to lead the others.

" Y'all, should go pick up your tools"My eyes widened at the words I heard.

We were about to farm.

I turned around and walked closer to the spot where the other tools were.

" I hate my life," I groaned as I picked up one of the tools that looked small.

I walked back to the standing position as Crystal came closer to me.

I ignored the fact that she was standing close to me and just looked at the guard.

" Go drop that and follow me at once," she said.

" Why?" I protested, still not trying to make eye contact with her.

" Must you agure over everything, Lyra" she hissed.

" This not about arguing, Crystal," she cut off
