Killian came back from the southern borders to solve the development issues. After travelling for hours, he was tired and wanted to get a shower. He didn't even pass by Maya's room. He wanted to see her once he was all clean. He missed her that he travelled to and from. He could have chosen to Lodge somewhere and finish the matters but he hurriedly settled them before leaving his beta to handle the rest.

Killian opened the door to his room and was met by a familiar yet unfamiliar scent lingering in the house.

He took a deep breath to control his displeasure. He then walked past his sitting room and headed to the bedroom.

Just as he thought, Amber was sprawled on his bed with a smile on her face.

Seeing her invading his personal space, Killian was enraged.

"What the hell are you doing in my room, and on my bed?" Killian barked.

Amber's eyes opened and she looked at Killian with a bright smile on her face, "Hi, baby."

Killian took a deep breath in an attempt to control his rage.

He was
