Killian pulled Maya away angrily, making his way to his car. After settling her on her seat, he took the driver's seat. He was about to ignite the engine when Maya stopped him.

" What's wrong? Are you mad at me?" She asked, looking him in the eyes.

Running his hands through his hair, Killian sighed.

" I'm not mad at you, I'm mad at her. Why did you have to accept her invitation?" Killian asked. He didn't want to play the nice son to someone who didn't deserve it. He would rather spend his day in bed, making love to his wife than grace his mother with his presence.

Maya frowned.

" She is your mother, Killian." She reasoned out, hoping he could see sense as to why she accepted the invitation.

" I highly doubt she is." Killian spat. As long as he could remember, she never treated him as a son. He might as well be adopted or perhaps her bastard son whom she was ashamed of.

" You can't say that." Maya stopped him but he shrugged his shoulders nonchalantly.
