Chapter Thirty-SevenMaxAs I sit here in class waiting for Josie to come back from the bathroom, I start feel a little uneasy and a little tense. When I hear the last bell ring to let us know that is the late bell for class and I still haven’t seen Josie walk in, I instantly know why I feel uneasy and tense. I get up to leave when the teacher walks in and tries to keep me from leaving the room. All I need to do is give him a growl to remind him who the next Alpha is, and he bows down in respect to me. I wouldn’t have been able to get away with doing that is he wasn’t a werewolf as well, there are very few humans here, so we still need to maintain some sense of normalcy, but that is a story for another time, I need to go find Josie.When I step out of the classroom and walk down the hall to where I left Josie at her locker, when I get there I can scent her and when I follow her scent to the bathroom, I take a quick look down the hall to make sure nobody is going to catch me walking in

I just want to go back to sleep, but then I start to remember everything that happen recently, and my heart starts to race, and I try to open my eyes, but when I do, I need to close them back again because of the bright lights. Then I hear voices around me talking about how I am trying to wake up and how the lights need to be turned down. There is only one voice I recognize right away and I try again to open them and when I do, it’s easier to keep them open, someone must have dimmed the lights because when I am able to open my eyes all the way they instantly go to the gorgeous man standing by my bedside and he gives me a look of relief, like he is happy to see me awake and I am so happy to see him too.“Max.”“Hey there love, you had me worried there for a while.”“I’m sorry.
