Maya's POV

After the ceremony, I was enjoying the celebration when I unintentionally opened my mind and heard Ken communicating with the border patrol officers via mind link. Every time Ken asked the guard, I think he became more anxious. I looked at him and realized that he hadn't seen me listen in on their talk. I told Jacob about it, and he looked at Ken who was now engaged in conversation with Dom.

"Jacob, Rogues spotted in the southern border. The patrol guard reported it to Ken just now." He looked at me and then on Ken. I knew he noticed that Ken and Dom were mind linking each other. "Ken was telling it to Dom already. We have to go there now to check." I told Jacob, he nodded and looked at Ken and Dom.

I couldn't wait any longer so I interrupted them in their links and asked them to go to the border already. 'Let's go!' I said, Ken looked at me and then on Dom who was now staring at me. 'I forgot she can read minds.' Ken said through his thoughts.
