Nick's POV
After I sent food for Maya and she finished it, I went back to the pack house. I didn't want dad to have any idea on what I was doing there. I'm afraid for him to find out about Maya being there all this time. I'm sure that he will do everything to have her and make me mate her. I wanted to follow Devon when he told me not to mark her as mine. I was hoping that something good will happen after, when everything is settled and I manage to do what I need to do.
I slept earlier than usual because I had to be prepared for my fight against one of Edwards' men. I wonder if he is also very appreciative of power according to my father, but I hope not. If what dad said was true that Edward was suggesting he make him the Gamma of the pack.
With regards to Edward, I believe in him when it comes to appreciating wolves

Maya's POVI feel sorry for Nick because I know he doesn't want to hurt Alpha Rhoden because he is his father, but he knows he has to decide what is right.
