99 - Mayor Visit

I cried when I asked him, "What?"

He said, "Trust me."

I was unsure what to do, but he added, "The mayor will visit us soon."

Alpha King's POV

After I told her about the Mayor's visit, she broke down and sat on a chair. I sat beside her holding her hands. I can only comfort her now as I don't know much about it.

I can't see her cry. Her tears cut my heart into a million pieces. It's hard to decide how to handle this, but I told Beta May to find out what the rumor is about. Who started it and how did it spread? Every now and then I get a message regarding the same rumor. Now Kate's safety is at risk. I ignore all the messages till now.

I need to figure out a way to stop this rumor before it's too late. I'm going to have to talk to the people involved and find out what's really going on. I'm hoping I can get to the bottom of this before Kate has to go through more pain.
