I nodded and assured him I would take care of her. He smiled and shook my hand, before walking out the door. I watched him go, feeling confident that I had made the right decision. I waited until I was sure he was gone, then I grabbed the contract and signed it. I put it away and gathered my things before heading out to get her. I was ready for whatever the future had in store for us.

I took a deep breath and stepped out into the night. I had a plan, and I was determined to see it through. The future was uncertain, but I was ready to face it. Although I don't use my car these days, I need one to take her with me. She is a human and I will have to think things through if she stays with me. My car is parked in my SG group's garage, so I open it to get to my car. In general, I don't use my car when I visit here, but right now I need to take her with me.
