Pain.

It comes in many forms and was given a gazillion names. Yet for everyone, it felt the same.

The physical pain was always the easiest as it goes away with time. The phrase that time heals all the wounds. Of course, it does but the physical wounds.

No one mentioned the savage bleeding wounds on the soul. How do they heal? Was there any potion created to cure the wounded souls? Perhaps not.

They just die slowly, writhing in silent pain and hushed agony.

Fading away in despair and dousing aimlessly in heartache.

Self loath.

It was a big word. The word that carries a humongous weight of guilt and regret. Of course, no one ends up loathing themselves for nothing.

They might have done bad things to end up in self-loathing. They might've made bad decisions which led to the suffering of someone else. Someone they began to care about but it was too late.

Regret.

Regret was the worst of all. Knowing fully well that things could've turned out differently. But they ended u
