Violet didn't turn to look at him to confirm her doubt about the supposed person in her room because she already knew he was there. She felt it at the door. Violet along with her sisters stepped into the Hall where an enormous number of elite and posh people were present. The whole palace was decorated exquisitely and everyone was in awe. As soon as she stepped through the door all sets of eyes fell on her causing her skin to prickle under their scrutiny and she felt dazed. She never liked being the center of attention. Back in her kingdom whenever her father would hold such parties or balls, all sorts of rich powerful people would show up, and then her father would present her like a trophy in front of them with hopes that someone powerful would take interest in her and there'll be someone strong to take over his throne because he never found Violet worthy enough of the throne because she was a girl. She didn't know how she went through the whole ordeal and was still standing on her feet which were killing her because of the damned heels. Throughout the night Lennox had plastered her to his side as if she was his oxygen and he would die if she left his side.
