Third Person's POV Several minutes go by with Brian holding the Omega in his arms. The Delta randomly peppered kisses along his mate's neck and cheek. Brian's heart skipped a beat when his omega suddenly began purring while nuzzling against his scent gland. Brian's eyes closed, his eyes stung as he tilted his head to the side, allowing his mate better access to his neck. His hand slipped under River's shirt and caressed his back, wishing he could erase everything that happened 45 minutes ago, hating that he made his mate cry. Little does Brian know, River has already forgiven, and forgotten. The Omega couldn't be happier as he bathed himself in the wonderful scent of his mate while the words, “I'm yours forever!" replayed over and over in his head. After a moment, the Omega pulled back and his beautiful blue eyes sparkled as he looked at Brian, causing the Delta's heart to clench. Brian wondered how he ever looked at River like that earlier and walked away from him. The Delta's
Third Person's POV Brian stayed quiet as his mate mingled with everyone from his little pack. Every now and then he glanced at Tristan and tried to look past what happened. He tried not to see the Beta's arms wrapped around his brother as he sliced his throat open, but it was no use. Brian closes his eyes, wishing the images away, but that only makes it worse. As soon as his eyes closed, the images were even clearer. Brian suddenly stands and lets a breath out as he runs his hand through his hair before making his way to the cooler. He takes the long way around, staying as far away from Tristan as he can. The Delta takes a beer out of the cooler and pops the cap before downing half of it in one go. Brian turns, and his eyes land on Cyrus who's looking at him. 'Are you okay?' Cyrus asked through the link. 'No, but I will be. Don't worry about me.' Brian replied before downing the rest of the beer and then reaching in for another. Brian sat back and watched how everyone seemed
Third Person's POV River was a purring mess as he nuzzled his mate's pillow while Brian showered. After coming back to their room, River showered first. When the Omega was done he hated the fact that he no longer smelled like his mate. He hated it so much that while Brian showered, River rolled around on Brian's side of the bed, rubbing and pressing his face against Brian's pillow while his little motor worked overdrive. Brian worked fast in the shower after noticing his Omega's distress. River looked upset as he kept sniffing himself, and Brian immediately knew what it was about. The Delta was all too familiar with it. His mother Charlotte was the same way when she neared her heat. Like River, Brian's mother was an Omega, and when she neared her heat, she hated when his father wasn't home after she showered. She became distressed when she didn't smell like him and Brian would have to call his father back just so he could scent his mother and then return to work. Brian took the
Third Person's POV The Omega woke up naked with his body draped across Brian and their limbs tangled. The only thing River smelled was Brian, and it was exactly the way he wanted it. The Omega pushed his elbow into the bed and propped his head on his hand, so he could look down at his mate while he slept. River let his eyes rake over Brian's face, taking in his features. 'He's so handsome! And he's all mine!' River thought, smiling to himself. River couldn't believe that he found his mate. But more than that, he couldn't believe Brian had accepted him. River's eyes go to Brian's neck and his heart quickens before a smile spreads across his face. The Omega reaches up and touches Brian's mark and the Delta hums as he lightly stirs. "Mine!" River whispers, so happy and proud that this man is all his, and everyone can see it. The Omega reaches up and touches his own mark, and a shiver runs down his spine as pleasurable tingles spread through his body, waking it up. River bites h
Third Person's POV Noah sits back in his chair as he pops another grape into his mouth while watching his daughter play with Nadja. The omega never thought he would feel comfortable with the elder being this close to his daughter, but he is. Sometimes Noah wonders if Evelyn does really know who Nadja is to her. He's almost all she talks about. The little 8-year-old has been fixated on him since the day they met. He's not just Nadja, he's her Nadja! He's her vampire, her best friend. He's the one who has tea parties with her with absolutely no protest. He's the one who sits around the little table in her playroom with all of her stuffed animals, and the two make them talk and have tea parties. Noah barely remembers the day he found out Nadja was his daughter's mate... At least not the fear he felt. Now, when he thinks of Nadja or sees the elder with his daughter, he knows she's safe. She is probably safer with him than anyone else, but Noah will never say that out loud. Noah also
Third Person's POV Silas growls as he vigorously washes the blood off of his body. This is the second time he had to help Ian's dad gut a damn deer, and the second time he threw up gutting one. But in Silas's defense, he cut into the bowels, splitting it open, which released a rancid stench before all of its insides hit the ground, followed by the contents of Silas's stomach. After drying off, Silas pulled his clothes on and then cringed when he looked at Bryce's clothes lying on the floor. Silas looked around, trying to find something to pick the clothes up with so he didn't have to touch them with his hands. They had the contents of the deer's bowels all over them, not to mention blood and whatever other crap that splashed on him. Unable to find anything else, Silas unravels a handful of toilet paper and then tries collecting the clothes with it. As soon as the vampire lifted the clothes, the stench wafted up his nose, and Silas gagged, dropping the clothes to the ground. The Va
Third Person's POV 'No, not scissors, we need a scalpel to cut the umbilical cord! Oh, and we need a shoelace to tie it off!' Wolff said, and Silas immediately took off his shoe and began unstringing it. "Do you think shoelace or thread would be better to tie the umbilical cord off with?" Silas asked no one in particular, and Ian slapped his hand over his forehead as his father gave a big hearty laugh. "This will work, won't it?" Silas proudly presented his shoelace and then looked at Bryce. "Where's the scissors?" "I think you're jumping the gun here, son!" Silas huffed and then his head quickly snapped to his mate when Ian whimpered and hissed as another contraction came on. Silas hovered his hands over his mate, not sure what to do or where to touch him. As his hand went to rest on his mate's belly Ian quickly knocked it away. "Don't you dare!" Ian gritted through his teeth. The cramps he was feeling as his muscles tightened around his stomach were really hurting, and th
Third Person's POV Blake stands back as Azrael paces the hall while biting his nails. The Vampire is both nervous and excited to meet his niece. Neither him nor Silas thought they would ever find someone to settle down with, let alone have a mate, or a child! This is all new territory, new feelings, the unknown! Azrael finds his mind running a million miles an hour, thinking of many different things, and they all revolve around children. Sensing his mate's distress, Blake walks forward and collects his mate into his arms, pulling Azrael against his chest. The wolf's scent, warmth, and presence surround Azrael and calm his racing heart and rapid thoughts. Azrael lets out a breath as he relaxes, his head falls to Blake's neck as he wraps his arms around him. "What if I can't give you a child?" Azrael suddenly asked, catching Blake off guard. Blake's not going to lie, the thought had crossed his mind. But even so, it wouldn't change a thing. There's no one else the Beta wants. Blake
Third Person’s POV The sound of Evelyn's laughter rings out. The little Omega covers her mouth while she laughs at the icing all over Nadja's face. The Elder was taken off guard this time. Evelyn didn't give him a chance to anticipate what was coming. She simply called his name and when the elder turned she stuffed a cupcake into his face. As shocked as Nadja was, the beautiful sound of her laughter was worth it. He sat there for a moment before bringing the napkin in his lap to his face. Evelyn continued to laugh as she stood up and took the napkin from Nadja. The Omega sat sideways on his lap as she cleaned the icing from his face. After wiping the icing from his eyes they fluttered open and Evelyn froze, her breath caught and her heart skipped a beat for the first time. Nadja froze when he heard her heart skip. For a moment the Elder couldn't move. After a moment Nadja reached up and took the napkin with one hand while bringing his left hand to her creamy white cheek. “Thank y
Third Person's POV Grayson laughed as he ran from his growling brother. Ezra didn't find it funny when his brother froze his entire bowl of soup as he dug his spoon into it. The little King tried to ignore his brother as he brought his cup of juice to his mouth just to have the frozen contents slide out and hit his nose. Ezra growled as he reached out and shocked Grayson. The Future Alpha King yelped and then took off running with Ezra hot on his tail. Silas ran his hand down his face as he watched the two brothers chase each other around the yard. Grayson, now 10, created a snowball in his hand and threw it at his brother, hitting him square in the nose. This only infuriated Ezra and the 8-year-old thrust his hands forward, shocking Grayson. Grayson grunts as his body falls to the ground mid-sprint. Grayson blinks his eyes just in time to see Ezra lunging for him. His eyes widened as he tried to roll away but he was too late. The younger brother landed on top of Grayson and quickl
Third Person's POV It's been 5 years since Harris had their first child. A year and a half later their son Niles was born. He's an omega, a dragon/werewolf hybrid at the curious age of 3 and 1/2. Atticus doesn't know if they'll have any more kids. But his heart is content knowing he and his mate brought two dragons into this world. Not only that, they honored his Father and the Dad he had for such a short time. Michael got over his anger with Noah removing his tubes rather quickly. Asher on the other hand had to keep his walls up constantly. Onyx was devastated. He had hoped for more children, even though Noah expressed his desire not to have anymore. Onyx couldn't wrap his head around why Noah would take something like that from him. He didn't understand it, even after Asher's explanation. Onyx wished he would have kept a closer eye on Noah. The Alpha wolf was adamant that he would have never let the Omega take something like that from him. The Alpha wolf was so angry at Noah, tha
Third Person's POV Xavier stuck the bottle into the warmer and nervously glanced at Theo. The Omega rocked back and forth as Vivian fed from him. Damien was out cold on the couch due to Vivian having a hard time sleeping last night so the Beta was up with her. Xavier scratched the back of his neck as he struggled to find words for the Omega. He felt beyond guilty for the thoughts that went through his head at the hospital, and for the way he snapped at Theo when he asked a simple question about their child's name. Xavier hated the thoughts that went through his head when he felt Damien die and he hated that those thoughts didn't go away while he waited for Damien to wake up. The Alpha wasn't sure what to say, or how to make amends, or how to make things right again. Xavier wished Theo would be mad at him. He wanted the Omega to lash out, shout at him, yell, scream, or hit him. He felt he deserved it and so much more. After laying Vivian in her swing, Theo went back into the kit
Third Person's POV Xavier can't feel anything beyond the excruciating pain of the broken mate bond, and his broken heart. He can't even bring himself to comfort his hurt omega who is curled up in the fetal position on the floor next to him, sobbing uncontrollably. As much as he loves Theo, the Alpha can't function without his Beta who saved him all those years ago. Damien was the very air he breathed. His heart feels like it was ripped from his chest. He doesn't want to live without Damien. The Alpha's head reels as he feels the death of his little mate, and he can't figure out how to go on without him. Xavier sucks in a breath before leaning forward and screaming. Spit connects his lips as he screams while tears flow down his face and drip from his chin. The doctor works fast trying to stop the bleeding and clear out as much blood as he could so he could see. With the baby out, the doctor pulls the top of the uterus out and is shocked at how thin and weak it is. It's practically
Third Person's POV Harris slowly breathed as he held his stomach. Another nurse burst into the room and quickly began asking Harris questions. Harris almost felt dizzy with how fast everything was moving. One moment they were in the backyard relaxing, the next minute Finn was in labor, then Damien, and now he might be as well. It was all too much, too soon. Harris wasn't ready. What if they didn't have everything they needed? What if he messes up? What if he isn't good enough, and fails at being a Dad? What if it isn't a dragon, and he fails to give Atticus what he has been hoping for? Harris blinks his eyes several times and a face inches from his own comes into view. Harris realizes Atticus is holding his face. “Stop!... Everything is going to be just fine! We have everything we need and so much more. Of course, we're both going to mess up, but we're going to learn from our mistakes and do better. We're not perfect, no one is! But you will never fail at being a dad! You are going
Third Person's POV “My water broke!” Addison took a sharp breath in as Maddox rushed forward, scooping his mate into his arms and praying his little angel didn't sneeze again. No one had to say anything, it was like they worked as one mind as everyone rushed through the pack house and out the front door. The sound of two engines roared to life as the vehicles sped out racing towards the hospital. “How are you feeling? Are you in any pain?” Addison asked as she adjusted Lucian's legs over her lap. “No, not yet. Just a little discomfort in my back.” Lucian said and then slowly exhaled as his stomach became tight. Addison looked between Finn's stomach that was exposed and his face. “How bad was that one?” Addison asked when Finn's body relaxed. “Not that bad. It's just a little stronger than the Braxton Hicks.” Finn said as he rubbed his belly. The Omega closed his eyes and leaned back against Maddox as Addison caressed his stomach. Addison looked into Maddox's eyes and could
Third Person's POV As Atticus steps out the back door he breathes a sigh of relief seeing the many heaters on the patio. Fall has just arrived and Harris can't stand the cold. Dragons prefer very warm temperatures, but little dragons need and crave the heat even more. Harris' body is responding to the growing dragon in his womb, reacting as if he himself was a dragon. The smaller Alpha wears a sweater during the day while everyone else is wearing t-shirts. In the evening he snuggles inside a warm thick coat while everyone else is simply wearing long-sleeved shirts. Draven doesn't mind, in fact he loves it. He's a proud mate and father, ever protective and attentive. Their apartment is never below 78, and whenever they're snuggling or sleeping, Draven heats Atticus' body, warming their mate and growing hatchling. Addison holds the door open and watches each Alpha carefully lead their very pregnant mate out of the back door and onto the patio. Damien winces and Xavier is immediately co
Third Person's POV Harris swears his stomach wasn't this big yesterday. He feels like his stomach doubled in size overnight. Even though he's now five months pregnant, Harris was before somewhat able to hide it with large baggy shirts, but now there's no way for the Alpha to hide his ever growing abdomen. The car comes to a stop and Harris dreads stepping out of it. Especially since their little town seems so active right now. There are tons of people walking up and down the sidewalk, coming and going from each shop. Harris' hand protectively rests against his stomach, trying to hide his pregnancy. Harris nibbles on his lip before turning to look at his Alpha. “You know, we don't have to go shopping today. And, I can just get something to eat at home. Why don't we just go back!” Harris was hoping to change Atticus' mind, but the larger Alpha simply gave him a soft smile before climbing out of the car. “Damn it!” Harris cursed as he turned and looked out the window, watching all t
