Marky Versus Jacob

JACOB'S POV

I was currently having breakfast in my barracks when suddenly, one of my friends came rushing to me.

"We have to go see Carl! Marky was beating him up!"

I was surprised after I heard that from Richard so I stopped eating and quickly took my T-shirt and put it on.

"Where are they?" I asked worriedly.

"On the basketball court."

After hearing that, I hurried out of my barracks and quickly ran towards the basketball court. I don't even notice if Richard followed me or not as I am very worried about my best friend, Carl. Marky chose to mess with him again and the reason is to annoy me and force me to engage in a fight with him. Marky wants to ruin me and he will do everything to make that happen.

I was already at the oval grounds when I bumped into a woman wearing a white t-shirt and jogging pants, probably one of the newbies here in the training camp. She suddenly shifted direction so I couldn't avoid her anymore. She fell to the ground and I immediately felt pity for her.

I felt relieved when I noticed that she was okay and not hurt. I was about to help her get up but she already did. She immediately faced me and boom! It was her again. The Alpha's daughter. Why in this kind of situation again? I guess it's not my lucky day today.

She tried to fight with me, but damn it, I don't have time. I am in a rush right now. If I didn't hurry, Carl would definitely be beaten up already by the time I got there. So I'm sorry Madam, Miss Ortiz, Alpha Haria, or whatever I should call you, I'm going to be rude to you again today and just leave you here like this. I'm really in a hurry right now. I need to rescue my best friend.

She was in a fighting stance when I turned my back on her and quickly headed to the basketball court where Carl and Marky's group were. I didn't think about what she would do next, if she would follow and suddenly attack me. Fortunately, she didn't. It seems that she will just let this encounter pass by, like the previous ones.

When I got inside the basketball court, I immediately saw Marky confronting Carl while being so mad like a dog.

"What? Do you want to fight with me?" Marky was challenging Carl while glaring at him after he grabbed the collar of his shirt.

Carl didn't answer. He also gave Marky glaring stares instead.

Then, Marky let go of him, but nothing changed in the expressions on their faces.

"Stop it, Marky!" I said in a loud voice as I got near them.

Marky gave me a smile like a dog as he turned to me as if he was expecting me to arrive.

"It's a good thing that you came, Jacob. Now, it's already a fair fight," Marky said in a calm voice, obviously trying to control the anger he was feeling for me. "It looks like you already got the courage to face me, huh. Let's give him a round of applause, guys. This lowlife beta was starting to amaze us. It looks like his tail is already growing."

Marky started clapping as he slowly approached me. Then his two friends also clapped while laughing loudly.

"What now, Jacob? Can you really fight with me? Are you really strong now? I thought you're only brave when you're with your group, just like your trash friends," Marky said while glaring at me.

"Let's finish this now, Marky! What do you really want?" I was a little surprised when I heard Carl's voice.

"Oh, is it you who bark?" Marky said as he turned to Carl and was surprised by what he heard from him. "You're also brave now, huh. Let's see how far your bravery will reach." Then, he grabbed the collar of Carl's shirt again after he got near him. "You know what, trash beta? I will only let this slide if you kneel in front of me and kiss my shoes."

Carl didn't give an answer. He just spits on Marky's face instead while not taking his glaring eyes off him.

"What the fuck!" Marky cursed out of anger as he was shocked by what Carl did to him. He immediately wiped the saliva that came from Carl's mouth. Then, he unleashed a powerful punch that directly hit Carl's jaw, causing my friend to fall down to the ground.

Then, he approached where Carl fell and quickly grabbed the collar of his shirt again. He was about to unleash a strong punch again but I caught his hand and pushed him away from my friend.

"You're a son of a bitch, Marky!" I said angrily. "Go away from Carl! He has nothing against you! Fight with me instead!"

Marky gave me a smile like a dog as he stood up and faced me. Then, he positioned himself into a fighting stance and the tension inside started to rise.

A few moments later, Richard also arrived and positioned himself into a fighting stance as he got near me.

The place got quiet for a moment as we were just exchanging sharp stares while waiting for who would attack first.

"What now? Are we just going to look at each other?" Marky was the first one who spoke and broke the silence.

He and his two friends were about to rush towards me and Richard and attack us when a woman with a familiar face suddenly stepped in the middle.

I immediately recognized who the woman was and I couldn't help but shake my head.

"Hey, my beautiful lady! What are you doing here?" Marky was also surprised by the sudden appearance of the woman.

"You know what? You two..." Haria even pointed her fingers at me and Marky while she was speaking. "I still can't forget the bad things you did to me here in the camp."

"Please don't get involved here, Madam Haria. And for the record, I didn't do anything bad against you. Why don't you just confront that guy?" I immediately countered while pointing my fingers at Marky.

"Hey, my lady," Marky continued. "If you don't have any business here, can you please leave for now? Let's just talk later, after the training and I promise you, I'll give you all my free time,"

"Where did you get the face for you to say those words to me, huh?" Haria immediately answered in a hard voice. "And don't ever call me, your lady. I'm not your lady! Even if there's no other choice, I will never accept you in my life."

"Let's not waste time! Let's start fighting now!" one of Marky's friends said angrily. And after saying that, he rushed towards me and unleashed an attack.

Haria was still in the middle when the fight started. She was surprised by the sudden attack of Marky's friend and she almost couldn't move her feet.

She just closed her eyes as she was almost hit by the punch unleashed by Marky's friend. Luckily, I was able to grab his hand and pushed him away from her. Then, I immediately approached Marky and furiously grabbed the collar of his shirt. That's when she opened her eyes.

We exchanged sharp glances at each other. And a few moments later, Marky started to move. He was about to punch me when Haria shouted loudly so he stopped and didn't proceed with his plan.

"Stop it!" Haria shouted loudly while glaring at Marky. And her friend immediately grabbed her hand and pulled her away.

Then, suddenly, the bell rang, which meant that the training was about to start. The surroundings became silent but we still remained in our fighting stance, waiting for who would attack again. We were still exchanging sharp and burning glances towards each other.

"I'm telling you, Marky. I can forgive your bad deeds to me, but if you hurt those who are important to me, I won't hesitate to fight with you and take you down," I spoke in a hard voice while still staring at Marky. After saying that, I let him go, then I turned around and started walking away. And Richard and Carl immediately followed me.

"Come back here, motherfucker, Jacob!"

I could hear how frustrated Marky was. He wanted to break my bones but he couldn't do anything but punch the air and curse me.

I stopped in front of Haria and turned my gaze to her. But she just raised her eyebrows as a reaction so I didn't speak anymore and continued walking.

"We need to get out of here now before Alpha Jomer sees us," I heard Richard say worriedly to Haria and her friend. I didn't know if she followed. I didn't care anyway. All I care is to get out of here immediately so that Alpha Jomer would not see us here.

After a few steps, I turned to her again as my conscience kept on bothering me and I saw her still glaring at Marky. Then, her friend forcibly pulled her away despite not wanting to leave that place.
