Grim POV I stare at the chess board in front of me, willing myself to play it. I always play chess when I find myself in a difficult situation; the mere act of strategising calmed my nerves, but in this situation it was not working at all. My uncle's voice kept roaming around my head without any pause. I had to choose Olivia or Diana. Clearly speaking, I would have chosen Diana; her father was an alpha, and he harnessed a good amount of witches who could destroy things without me stressing myself. Plus, she was a pure royalty, an additional mark to make her a queen.
