This was a litte sweet chapter, don't you think? Hehe.
Ezra: I took a deep breath frowning as I waited for what I was going to hear. Not knowing what to actually expect from this conversation or where it was going to lead. “I have been sacrificing a lot for my children. All of you, and whether or not you are going to choose to understand it, one of them was sacrificing seeing my sisters.” Mom said, looking at both Alvize and I as she spoke. Her voice was defeated, and her eyes which were obviously exhausted refused to meet mine, and I couldn’t blame her. I knew that I, as her son, had hurt her more than I should have allowed myself to. “What does that have to do with this situation?” Alvize asked, glaring at her. The man’s man was obvious in his eyes, and that wasn’t something that I could ignore. He has dealt with more than anyone should have, and that is something that I, as his brother, could not ignore. “Everything.” Andromeda said, making me frown in confusion. The woman possessing Madeline’s body alone was more than enough for me
Lia:With Killian on the run, wanting to kill my husband? I was surprised when I found out that he went out. However, I knew that he had to go and speak to Alvize. The two brothers had to solve the things that they had left unsolved. The pain that they were both in was one that was far too deep than anyone should be able to handle. Alvize shouldn’t live with that much hate, and Ezra shouldn’t have to live with that much guilt when he had nothing to do with what happened.I let out a small smile as I entered the living room to find Maria sitting beside Andromeda. The demon motioned for me to sit by her side; however, I didn’t dare speak to her or sit by her side. The maximum that I could accept is seeing her support Maria at least being the sister that she couldn’t have been for years “Are you OK?” I knew that she wasn’t. But she still smiled, being the brave woman that I’ve known her to be. Donatello, who entered the room with me, smiled at his wife, giving her an encouraging nod.“
Ezra: “Care for a drink, brother?” I asked, looking at Alvize whose eyes were hard as he looked at the bartender. The two of us were in the VVIP lounge at my club, and I knew that it was going to get ugly. The only way to end this blood fight was by blood, and I was going to tick my brother to that. “How about you fuck yourself and get the fuck out of my sight?” He asked, and I raised an eyebrow at his attitude. But I didn’t say a word, instead, I let him be the way he was. It was good to see him angry, at least I knew which buttons to hit when I did. “Now, now, I’m trying to be nice here.” I said, giving him a sarcastic smile “Yet, you are cursing me.” I stayed quiet as I looked at my brother for a few seconds, our eyes meeting as I waited for what he had to say. The fact that he was not only being rude, but that he was actually being angry at ME for no reason was something that I couldn’t understand. Whether it was pure jealousy or pain, I didn’t know. But I intended to find ou
Lia:“Ezra,” I smiled as I saw my husband walking inside the room before getting up from bed and wrapping my arms around him. I hugged him tightly, not knowing what to say or what to do. The fact that Madeline was locked in a cell right now was something that I couldn’t get my mind out of. However, I was just glad to see him back home. His eyes met mine as he pulled away from the hug, and he smiled, assuring me that he was okay. Though I wasn’t stupid, I could see that he was in pain. His eyes told more than his lips ever would.Despite the pain that I knew he was feeling, I didn’t bother asking what the reason was. I knew that he would speak if he wanted to. It was one of the duties of me being Mafia’s wife. El Capo dei Capi had his responsibilities, and that was something that I knew to respect. And that was something that Ezra liked about me, me not asking too many questions was something that benefited him. Plus, it kept me from danger. It was something that I learned over time.
Ezra: I walked inside the cells where Madeline was staying, my heart aching as I looked at her being in the state that she was in. The last thing that I ever expected was to be put in a situation where I would be treating a family member, Madeline especially, in such a way. The woman and I grew up together, being both friends and family; therefore, this came as very hard for me. “Why?” I asked, not bothering to sugarcoat or dwell on the topic, there was no use in doing so. I knew that Maddie understood what I was referring to, and the last thing I needed to do with her was try to explain what I had to say. She would often understand me long before I said anything. “I don’t think that you should be asking me why, Ezra.” She said, making me frown in confusion. The woman was my best friend for longer than I could remember. She grew up by my side, being the sister that I lost, and whether or not my siblings were alive, I never treated her any less than I would be treating them. Therefo
Lia:I watched as Ezra walked out of the basement where the cells were and frowned when I saw his anger in his eyes.Donatello, who was standing beside me, shook his head, motioning for me not to interfere.I knew that the man would need a little time to process what happened, and though I knew that he wouldn’t be taking it as easy as one, two, and three. He needed time to allow himself to digest everything that he has been going through, and to begin with, he needed time to actually think straight.“Donatello, I can’t just leave him to handle this on his own.” I said, looking at the man who shook his head at me.“For now, he needs to process what has happened. I know that it would be hard for you to leave him alone in this state. Especially as his mate, you would be finding the urge to want to go to him. But he needs to be able to think straight before the two of you can talk.” He said, and despite the pain that I felt at knowing that my mate was hurt, I was forced to stand still. Hi
Ezra: “What the fuck do you mean by the man left to Rome?” I asked, glaring at Francesco who looked down at his feet, avoiding my eyes, clearly wanting to run away from it. I knew that the last thing he needed was to get in the middle of this. The man was assigned to make sure that Killian didn’t even reach the airport; therefore for him to just easily escape, now that was something that I couldn’t understand. “Boss…” “Do not ‘boss’ me. I want direct responses. YOU, Bruno, and Valdez were assigned to…” “He killed them, Alpha.” He said, making me frown before the smell of blood filled my nostrils as he raised his shirt and bandage. Lia gasped, and I knew that she wasn’t looking at me or Francesco, her face wasn’t even directed at us. “Ezra…” “Not now, Lia.” I said, rushing to the man’s side. I wrapped my arm around the man, noticing that his intestines were showing. However he made it here, I didn’t know, but I didn’t intend on asking to find out. “Ezra!” Lia snapped, making me f
Lia: I sat in back of the truck, looking at my husband’s reflection as he smirked. Having just arrived in Rome, the woman was taking us to the Estate, at least, I think that it was one, for all of this to end. Ezra and I shifted the other night in the plane, leading the cabin crew, Annalise, and three of her brother’s men to be afraid of us. They had to put us to sleep to ensure that we didn’t kill them. Flashback: My body forced me to shift as the full moon rose in the sky. Though we were in the plane, our wolves could feel the rise of the moon, so we shifted. “What the fuck is going on?” Annalise asked, hearing our growls as she walked toward the compartment that we were in. I looked at my husband who nodded before the two of us got ready in the shadow. “What the fuck are the two of you going on about? You are already fed…” Ezra jumped on the woman first causing her to stumble back before I went to grab her arm. A man tried attacking me; however, I jumped on his arm, biting
