My hand shook, and had it not been Ezra who was holding my arm still, I knew that the nurse wouldn’t have been able to do her job. Ezra: I frowned at the sight of the room when I walked inside to see the amount of blood that was on the floor. The nurse who was in charge of making sure that Derek was safe along with the man who I had assigned to keep him alive and safe were both lying dead on the floor. And looking at Derek, I cursed under my breath when I saw that the man was slaughtered. A knife was placed beside it, and a note on top of the dresser. Blood was on the piece of paper, but Killian didn’t care, I knew for fact that he didn’t. -I do suggest that you start sleeping with one open eye from now on, Ezra. I took the paper and knife in my head, frowning as a low growl of anger escaped my chest before I could stop myself.
