Ezra:

I carried Lia in my arms, holding her to my chest as I took her to our bedroom.

I knew that she could walk, but due to the impact that she got when she hit her back, the pack doctor recommended that she rests and relaxes as much as she could to ensure that she doesn’t end up getting more hurt than she already was, and minimal movements until she had fully recovered. Of course, that was something that Lia didn’t want, and wasn’t thoroughly convinced about, but seeing as I wouldn’t put her down if she wanted me to, she stopped arguing a few minutes into me lifting her in my arms as Armando opened the infirmary’s door for us.

“Thank you, Ariana, we can handle the rest.” I said, watching as my maid opened the door for us to walk into the room. She closed the door once we were inside, and I lay Lia on the center of the bed, on top of the blanket.
