Chapter 13

Lia:

“Stay still.” I said, looking Ezra in the eye as he flinched, trying to remove his hand when I applied alcohol on it, wanting to clean it.

“I don’t understand why you’re making a big deal out of something that would literally heal in a few hours.” He said, and I raised an eyebrow, daring him to say anything else. The man shook his head at me, and tensed when I reached one of the deepest of the cuts. How he had managed to get them by just punching the man, I didn’t know, but at this point, I wasn’t going to ask.

“I’m going to cover it for you so you don’t stain the sheets. Yes, in theory, they would be healing, but the two of us are going to bed, and the last thing you need is blood on the sheets. Plus, there is the fact that I don’t want it getting infected.” I said, throwing the cotton swab that I was using in the bin before getting ointment, and a bandage. “What did he say to tick you off as much as he did?”
