Dylan raised an eyebrow, but his eyes still held the fiery anger they did a moment ago."I can explain what happened. Blake isn't even involved. He was the one who brought me back," I told Dylan, willing him to believe me.Eric was still trying to get me to move away from Dylan, but I didn't give him a chance to try anything."Please, let me explain first," I said to him. I finally got out from Eric's arms and I clung to Dylan like my life depended on it.I wrapped my arms around his neck, wanting him to pay attention to me and leave Blake out of it.More and more guys from Dylan's pack had arrived. Easy they were about forty or fifty men- who would easily take down Blake. He only had ten men. It wouldn't be a fair fight."Leila, it's alright. If Dylan wants to fight, that's what we'll do," Blake stated.Dylan growled at him. He wrapped his arm around my waist, and I felt that was a good thing."See, if he wants to get killed- you should let him," Dylan said to me, but keeping his st
I woke up the next day and instead of being in the floor, I was in my bed. I yawned once, and looked around to see that I was in Dylan's room. I smiled, knowing that it had been him who carried me to bed. He wasn't in the room though.I took a shower, needing to relax my muscles from how tense I felt. I had to talk to Dylan. I needed to explain why I ran away and how it wasn't Blake's fault. Most importantly, he needed to know what had happened with my pack and Alpha Nicolas.I brushed my hair, doing a side braid and trying to make it look nice. I applied some light make up and chose some jean shorts with a lilac colored thin blouse. When I finished getting ready, I walked downstairs. I had already sensed around and noticed that Dylan wasn't in the house. When I walked into the kitchen, I saw Eric and John in there."Hey," I said, waving at the two. Both of them smiled at me, and greeted me."Do you guys know where Dylan is?" I asked them, as I looked inside the fridge."I'm not sur
Dylan ended up carrying me upstairs to our room. We were laying down in bed, with Dylan over me. His body easily covered mine. He was a lot bigger than my small frame.I loved how good his body felt so close to mine, yet he kept all his weight resting on his arms.He was trailing kisses down my jaw and toward my mark. My heart was beating faster, feeling expectant of what would be happening."Are you okay?" Dylan asked, sitting up a little and looking at me.I was out of breath, so I simply nodded my head."I missed you so much," he said, completely sitting up in the bed. I wasn't expecting him to say that.I stayed lying down for a little while, not understanding why he moved away from me."I miss you too," I replied softly, getting on my knees in front of him, and then resting myself on my legs.Dylan ran a hand through his hair, with a defeated expression on his face."I've killed more rogues than I can count," Dylan said, staring off into the distance.I didn't know why he was tel
"Wait here, I'm going to check who it is," Dylan said, as he made his way to the door.I followed after him, feeling nervous about the person at the door."Do you think that's them already?" I asked nervously.Dylan laughed, and shook his head."No. They were going to wait until I got to where they are, before entering my land," Dylan stated.Dylan quickly opened the door and in walked Jace, along with three other guys I didn't know."Alphas," the three guys said, almost simultaneously."Dylan, Leila," Jace said, looking between Dylan and me."What happened?" Dylan asked, keeping his eyes on Jace. Jace had been looking at me, but quickly resumed his Beta role and started talking to Dylan."Nicolas is here. He came along with Jackson and his Beta," Jace informed Dylan."Nicolas' Beta?" I asked, getting into the conversation. All the guys, including Dylan, stared at me as I asked that."No, the Beta from Jackson's pack," Jace finished saying. My heart felt like it stopped beating for a
I was running my hands over his arms, trying to sooth him and find a way to calm him down. "How the f*ck can they do that to somebody? A fixed marriage between Wolves shouldn't exist. We all have our mates!" Dylan kept saying."I know," I lamely said, not knowing what would make him feel better."Did he ever hurt you?" Dylan asked, his intense stare was concentrated on my eyes. I felt like looking down, and bowing to him. But I knew his intention wasn't to order me around. He wanted for me to tell him the truth.I shook my head, not being able to answer with words."Did he- did he ever touch you?" Dylan asked, pausing in his sentence and looking down."He didn't," I replied, my voice sounding completely weak."He wants you. Nicolas has made it clear that he wants you back," Dylan said, his voice sounding emotionless."I know, but I don't want to go with him. I don't want to go with my pack. Please, don't let him take me," I said to Dylan, as I wrapped my arms around his neck tightly.
Alpha Jackson hadn't said anything for a while. He was just looking at Dylan and me. His features had darkened. He looked beyond furious, but still he made no comment."Leila belonged to my pack first. Her father is the Beta of Staten Pack, so she has ties with us. The marriage with Nicolas was arranged and she failed to comply with my command. If she doesn't come with us, we will try her for treason. Her death can seal the debt," Alpha Jackson said. My dad snapped his head toward Alpha Jackson's direction, but he didn't say anything.Dylan started shaking by my side- no doubt his wolf wanted to take over."No!" Alpha Nicolas yelled, staring at Alpha Jackson."I will not allow you to kill her. I want her, and she will come with me. Right Leila," he said, looking at me and his voice softening as he spoke.Alpha Jackson looked at me as well, waiting for me to reply to Alpha Nicolas."No one is taking my mate!" Dylan yelled. They all stayed quiet, reacting to Dylan's tone and words.I sa
I stayed quiet, staring at Dylan. He looked furious, with his arms crossed and his intimidating figure staring down at me."Answer me," he said. His voice wasn't raised, but I could hear the order behind his words."We might need his help," I said softly."We don't need anything from him. I have everything under control. I don't need another pack's help," Dylan said, walking around his desk and standing in front of me."Yes we do. Do you think that if Alpha Jackson or Alpha Nicolas attack, they will do it alone?" I asked, raising my hands in the air. My words came out in a yell. I didn't intend to speak that way, but I was scared. I knew what they were capable of- at least Alpha Jackson."Do you know how sexy you look right now?" Dylan asked, taking a step closer to me.I looked at him with narrowed eyes."Is that a joke?" I asked him, crossing my arms."I don't joke," Dylan said, seriously. I was about to object to that, but instead, stayed quiet. It was true, he never really joke ab
We reached a room and as soon as we were inside, he locked the door. Dylan stood next to the bed, and after patting my butt, he dumped me on it. I landed hard, even though the bed was really soft.I looked around the room and assumed this had been Dylan's room when he still lived here."You," Dylan said, pointing at me, "Do as I say."This time I chuckled and moved myself to be kneeling in front of him as he stood next to the bed. He was still taller than me, even if I was on the bed.Dylan looked confused by my actions and frowned at me."Fine, let's stay here," I said. Dylan looked satisfied and was about to speak when I crashed my lips on his. It took him a while to respond, but he finally did.I was trying to get him on the bed, but he was like a statue. I placed my hands on his shoulders and brought him with me, as I laid down on the middle of the king sized bed.Dylan broke the kiss and looked at me strangely. I tried to kiss him but he was just staring at me. I trailed kisse
I had just made it to the lake when Dylan pounced on me.'You're a cheater, you know that?' I asked him through my mind.'You have been yelling that. It doesn't make it true,' Dylan replied. He was nuzzling his head in my neck. Our fur was such a contrast to each other. While his Wolf was entirely black, mine was white. The only color in my body was from my four paws, which were lightly tinted in black. Other than that, I was snow white."I've been yelling that because it's what you are, a cheater!" I exclaimed, as I shifted into my human form.I lied down on the ground, and Dylan's large Wolf settled himself on top of me."Shift back," I told him, as I held up my arms to give him a push."Being faster than you does not make me a cheater," Dylan said right after he took his human form. His naked body was lying over mine. His hands were on either side of my head, holding his weight on his elbows.Despite the small space between us, I could feel his very hard member pressing against my
"What are you thinking about?" Dylan asked, as he clasped his hand around mine.Hmm... That seemed like a good sign."Why are we out here?" I asked, looking around at the tall trees surrounding us.Dylan continued walking, practically ignoring my question."We'll take longer to get there since we're walking." He replied by changing the subject. The rest of the walk to the lake was quiet. I didn't feel like making conversation and Dylan was deep in thought.Once we arrived at the lake, I'd basically come to terms with the idea of Dylan leaving me. It hurt like hell to think about it, but if that was what he wanted- I would accept it.After all I had put him and the pack through, I deserved to be banished."The water looks nice," I said, dropping Dylan's hand and making my way closer to the water. The sun was high up in the sky, hitting the lake at a perfect angle to make it glitter whenever small currents moved the water."It does," Dylan agreed. He came to my side and put his arm over
Three weeks later...."Want some?" Liam asked, as he offered me his spoon filled with peanut butter dipped in melted chocolate.I scrunched up my nose, while Eric laughed at me."Don't knock it till you try it," Liam said to me."It's pretty good," Eric agreed with a shrug."Ah, the pup's got good taste," Liam said, grinning at Eric.Eric frowned at him, like he'd been doing for the past three weeks.I didn't understand what it was with guys and insulting other males by calling them 'pup'."You're not even that old," Eric told Liam, not impressed with Liam's nickname to him."I'm older than you," Liam said, not bothered by Eric's comment. He grabbed another spoonful of peanut butter and dipped it in the melted chocolate."Where's Dylan anyways? I thought Jace said they were all taking the afternoon off today," Liam asked, looking mainly at me.I shrugged, and felt myself frowning.Dylan had been acting pretty strange these last couple of days. He seemed distracted, and slightly parano
Dylan's POVLeila preferred walking to the doctor's office. I wasn't sure why, but she usually wanted to walk instead of shifting or driving there."Let's go!" Leila said, pulling on my arm, trying to hurry me.Her tugging and pulling hardly made a difference, but I did speed up just for her amusement."If you want, I can drive," she told me, already standing on the driver's seat.I laughed, wondering how she could find time to joke."I'm serious," she said, pouting at me.I took no time in closing the distance between us.I loved everything about her. Her enticing scent, her soft pale skin, her beautiful features- everything about Leila was perfect. But whenever she gave me that look, both my Wolf and I just wanted to bow down to her and do as she said.I groaned once I had her in my arms. Holding her in my arms was enough to satiate my Wolf and me, at least for now."I'll drive," I told her, as I walked her to the passenger side of the car."Fine, but you better hurry up. He's awake
The black Wolf was Dylan. We were in the back of the stores, and there weren't people around. It was still slightly dangerous if someone saw a group of oversized Wolves fighting.Dylan didn't wait for anyone before he came to our help and began attacking Alpha Nicolas. By this point, Alpha Nicolas was already fairly injured.Liam had made a number on him, and it didn't help that Alpha Nicolas was hardly defending himself. When Dylan arrived, Liam backed off and he pushed on the side of my body with his snout.I couldn't move away though. I was too enthralled watching as Dylan basically ripped Alpha Nicolas to pieces. As soon as he was dead, Alpha Nicolas' body automatically shifted him back to his human form. He lay there, motionless. I didn't want to look at him, but I was still in my Wolf form and she was getting a kick out of everything.I willed myself to shift back, but my Wolf didn't want that. She continued staring at Nicolas' body, which was ripped apart. It was all so bloody
I was left completely shocked right after I opened the door to our room. Seeing how clean and organized everything was, reminded me that Dylan had wrecked the room right after the fight.I was standing right next the door, looking at the neatly done bed, the new decorations, a not broken coffee table, and a new set of black leather couches. The couches sat in front of a bigger flat screen TV than the one we had before."I uh, had the room- house actually- cleaned out," Dylan said, sounding slightly uncomfortable.I turned to face him, his dark eyes gone. Grayish blue orbs were staring at me, looking like he was waiting for me to say something."I love it, thank you!" I told him, as I closed the distance between us and jumped into his arms, wrapping my own around his neck."I figured it was probably good to get everything new. My mom said you'd, uh, like it," he said.I giggled against his neck, enjoying his little pauses."Thank you," I said again, kissing the crook of his neck. His f
We'd been in the dining room eating the food that Blake and Christy had brought.Dylan had been telling me to eat, and I was trying to force down the food for his benefit. I wasn't really hungry- especially with everything that had happened."We're leaving right after this," Blake said, keeping his gaze on me."You are?" I asked, feeling my heart sink. I'd been hoping they would stay longer."As you know, the Rogues and Jackson attacked my pack first. We had a few causalities. Michael's taking care of things, but the pack is asking for me," he explained."I understand. You should be with them," I said, smiling at him.Being here with Dylan and Blake- it was comforting. I just couldn't stop thinking about Eric. I already wanted to get back to him.I wanted to be there when he woke up."I was hoping Dylan would give me a few minutes with you," Blake said, now looking at Dylan."No," Dylan stated. They stared at each other defiantly. While I remained quiet, Christy was starting to look a
I was surprised when he ran toward the trees, and came back seconds later wearing a pair of shorts."Don't fucking touch my mate!" Dylan growled, as he roughly took me from Blake's arms."Then fucking take her to the doctor!" Blake replied with a growl of his own. They both stared at each other menacingly. I tried to keep up with what was happening, but I could already feel myself drifting away."Shit! Take her, now!" I faintly heard Christy yelling, before everything went black.I woke up feeling disoriented. My mind was awake, but my eyes were closed and I couldn't manage to open them.I kept my breathing even- slowly attempting to open my eyes.Dylan's scent was all over the place. The room was lit- letting me know that it was day. I could tell that I was in the guest room where I usually ran to whenever I got mad at Dylan.I propped myself up in the bed. My muscles felt sore, like if I hadn't moved them in a while."Leila," Dylan's voice came from my side.I looked at him, and mem
Just like it had been before, another fight broke out. We were outnumbered two to one. This time however, it didn't seem like it would be as easy. The pack Wolves were bigger than the Rogues Liam and Eric had taken care of before. If that wasn't enough, my dad was the Beta of Staten pack. He was one of the strongest Wolves I knew.My dad had just been watching- as Liam, Eric, and Christy took to fighting the Wolves. This time, Eric wasn't able to protect me. He was too busy attempting to fight off three Wolves while trying not to get killed.Whenever I tried attacking any of the Wolves that came with my dad, they would push me away- but they didn't harm me.After my fifth attempt at fighting them and them not doing anything, I figured I could use that to my advantage.I was trying to help Eric fight off the Wolves. It was easy, since none of them touched me. I could only guess that Alpha Nicolas had given them an order not to hurt me.Liam was fighting with all he had. He was doing w
