Draven

Draven arched an eyebrow immediately, his eyes moving in the direction of the cops that were behind Emily.

"And you guys are here for?" Beatrice whose voice was completely infused with fear. "Above all, did you think coming here uninvited is something that is acceptable to us?"

"I'm sorry, ma'am, but I think we need to ask some questions." One of the cops said in an apologetic tone. "And after that, we think we can let her go."

"You could place a call and—-"

"Fine, go on with your question," Draven interrupted Beatrice while motioning his hand to the cop who had talked earlier. "But as you all know, I'm a busy person so be quick with what you wanna ask."

"Thank you," he turned to Beatrice and her eyes widened in fear. Emily could have done something stupid already and the fear was in her face. Draven, on the other hand, remained focused.

"Do you have something to ask me," Beatrice held her hand that had started to fidget, and immediately she looked at Emily. The latter sho

AvelineDays had passed since the incident with Draven, and an unsettling silence had fallen over me. No calls, no threats from Beatrice – it was as if they had vanished into thin air. I couldn't help but feel a sense of relief wash over me. Their victory, if you could even call it that, was short-lived. I was still bagging contracts, still succeeding despite their best efforts to bring me down. The sound of a soft knock on my door broke the silence, and I made my way over to answer it. Ever since Beatrice's uninvited visits, I had taken to locking my door, a habit I couldn't seem to shake. I half-opened the door to find Kade standing in the hallway, a wave of surprise crossing his face before he quickly composed himself."Hey," he said, his voice low and smooth.I smiled, feeling a sense of comfort in his presence. "Hey," I replied, pushing the door open wider to let him in.Kade walked into the office, his eyes scanning the room before coming to rest on me. "Well, I thought I'd be s

AvelineThe door to my room creaked open, and I saw Sabrina walk into it with her hands behind her; every step she took was followed by her intense gaze that was completely fixed on me. Nothing else in the room other than me. "So who's the lucky person this time?" She asked in a curiosity laced tone which made me turn from the huge mirror at my front. "Or is it still Draven Harrington?" "Could you call his name without adding the 'Harrington' Please?" I picked up the silver necklace from a box that was placed by the side of the mirror. "That surname makes me remember things I don't want to." She finally strode to my back and wore the necklace for me before walking to my side close to the mirror. "But he is the one right?" "No," we exchanged gazes as I wore my silver stiletto, which matched the silver gown and silver necklace I wore, and finally, I picked up my bag before placing my hands on Sabrina's shoulder. "It's Kade Pierce," the confused expression she had on her face whisp

Draven"What do you mean by there's a traitor in our midst?!" Beatrice's voice was in rhythm with the shutting sound of the door. "All because of some kind of bullshit Aveline caused, you are starting to think there's a traitor here; who the fuck does that?!" She raised her voice to a deafening level. Draven sighed heavily and paced around the room with his hands in his pocket. You could see he was fuming greatly, but he suppressed it with constant sighs. "Maybe it's me." He looked at Beatrice in the eye. "I don't understand," she took a step backward with squinted eyes. "Maybe it's you?" She repeated in a confused tone. "Maybe I'm the one that thinks there's a traitor in our midst following what happened in recent days." His voice dropped to a whisper followed by a glance around the room. Beatrice pushed Draven away, her eyes flashing with anger as she strode towards the chair beside his imposing throne-like seat. "Then you should be prepared for what lies ahead," she warned, her

Aveline Kade had started to get impatient. It had just been two minutes since he asked me that question, and he had started to get impatient, which showed how serious he was. As I hesitated, I couldn't shake the feeling that my response would be a turning point in our friendship. If I said yes, it could bring about an unforgettable memory, but also potentially lead to consequences I couldn't yet foresee. On the other hand, saying no might spare me from uncertainty, but also risk disappointing him and altering the delicate balance of our relationship.I felt the weight of this decision acutely, knowing that either response would inevitably leave its mark on our friendship. I was trapped in a web of possibilities, unsure of what to say but certain that my choice would forever change the dynamics between us.‘I am also dying from the suspense so go on and say whatever you want to say.’ V teased me with a soft chuckle. Kade’s eyes never left mine all this while but I tried avoiding

Or do you think you can call me that because of what we shared in the past?” I saw him stand upright, and for a second, he seemed like he was sorry, but his brows shot up in what was anything other than regret or apology. “And I've told you times without number that I'm willing to put the past behind me, but the question is would you?" He said with a smirkMy heels clicked after I stopped at the front of my chair and took my seat with a sigh giving no answer to what Draven just asked me. I stood my ground, my eyes locked on his as he spoke in a sharp tone. "All I came here for was to find out if you were the one who did it." AVELINE’S POVI turned to stare at Kade and stretched my lips to form a smile. “Please, excuse us for a bit,” I said to him.“Aveline, are you… Sure, that’s okay, and you are cool with that?” Kade questioned with a concerned tone.“Sure, I am; you don’t have to worry about anything,” I answered him with a tone enough to convince him that I meant what I said and a relaxed facial expression.“If you say so, then,” he replied and pursed his lips together before he turned away from me to stare at Draven with a pissed gaze; he sized him from head to toe before turning away and walking out of my office.Just before Kade left, it was quite obvious that he wasn’t pleased with my decision to send him out; he made sure he let it be known through his body language, and I was probably the only thing keeping his hatred for Draven in line.Anyways, I had to do what I did; I needed alone time with Draven for now.“So, what is it that you were saying?” I questioned and placed my arms on the table, pa

AvelineKade smiled before taking his hands out of his pocket, maybe I should have created one all by myself after all. I think talking to him about it was a mistake I should not have made."Don't worry I would—-" I trailed off after Kade shook his head. "Let's do it." His baritone voice echoed in the four corners of the room and a sinister smile appeared on his face. "Let's form one." "Are you sure?" I asked again; this time, I was louder, and my brows shot up. "It's not a must-do thing just so you–""I know, but it's my choice, isn't it?" He asked with a shrug and I nodded. "I want to join you on this path and I don't think the consequences would be enough to make me back out." Every word that proceeded out of his mouth was coated in determination, disdain, and assurance of things that were yet to come. Kade has always been the type that was always resilient to his goal but this look… this look on his face says a lot that was difficult for me to explain. He had a malicious look

DravenEven though Emily denied being jealous of Aveline, Draven knew it was a lie, a confident one.And he was sure Sofia and Beatrice thought the same but the moment was too heated up for any of them to say a word.Beatrice had been protective about it and it made Draven suspect that there was something she wasn't telling him. As it stood, he couldn't trust the women who were close to him. Not only because they were keeping things from him, they'd hated Aveline from the onset and there was no reason why they wouldn't attack her if they found the opportunity."I can't believe you'd think such a thing Draven." Emily had said when Draven pressed for the truth, tears had begun to Weil in her eyes but Draven wasn't moved by it. If anything, he was pissed that she wanted to play the emotional card on him. But he didn't call her out for that, at least not with Beatrice and Sofia standing beside the female and always ready to support her. That would pull them into another round of back and

Aveline Sleep the previous night was crap. I could barely close my eyes. All that went through my head was the image of me back to the pack, holding my daughter Betty close to my arms and hugging my friend so tight.I also thought about the things that could go wrong and how powerless I was to put up a fight but Angel's voice kept reminding me that no matter what happens tomorrow, I run and never look back until I leave the gates.I know that she is risking her life to get me out and she is trading carefully too but what if something goes wrong and they punish her for it or even kill her in the process? Then I would live knowing that a young girl's blood was spilled for my sake.Maybe it was because I didn't sleep through the night but the time went by fast and it was morning. "Wake up sleepy head. We had to make sure it worked out perfectly because one mistake could cause us both our heads. She told me that all the while I was looking for her, she was out of the clan. She escaped as the market people were going out of the clan after the day's sales. And came back the day she did when they were coming back as well. She found an excuse to give the clan's officials who noticed her missing but didn't care much since she was a slave."If we can execute this perfectly then you will be out of here by the next market day." She told me that day and I remembered smiling at her words.I would love nothing more than to leave the shit hole I found myself that has brought nothing but pain to my life."How do I get out unnoticed?" I asked with worry etched on my face. "It must have been easy for you to go out because you are a slave, not someone who is wanted like me." "I think I have a soluti

JulianHe ran after Sabrina who in turn ran after the man who snatched her bag.She was cursing all along. The thief ran into a street, a street Julian knew well enough and he followed another route to block the thief. He knew where the thief was running to and the last thing he wanted was to be seen."Stop! Turn around slowly and drop the bag." Julian ordered when he got close enough but the thief didn't stop for five seconds and then he suddenly paused and stopped as though Julian's words replayed in his head and it rang a bell.He turned around as instructed and his eyes widened in shock. Sabrina ran in just in time to see him shaking with fear."J-Ju- King!" He stuttered, his hands to his head as the bag fell off his hand. Sabrina was surprised by his reaction and she shifted glances between the man and Julian."You can go. Don't tell anyone you saw me." Julian whispered and the man nodded vehemently before running away.Sabrina was even more confused. Why did Julian tell him not

SabrinaJust like she expected, the next day was a busy one and she didn't even get to eat breakfast.Sabrina and Julian had a meeting with the company's board members to discuss the process of penetrating the market and it was a long one.A lot of ideas were thrown on the table but due to the location, a lot of them would not be effective so they all had to brainstorm and come up with something better.By the time the meeting was adjourned, it was late noon already. While the board members cleared their tables and left the hall, Sabrina took her time picking her things up. She was so careful not to miss a step or act clumsily out of hunger and exhaustion. No other person seemed to notice her but of course, one person did, and it was Julian. He walked right up to her with a subtle smile. Now, he was not a man of many smiles but he had been smiling whenever he was around Sabrina. Maybe he had not noticed it yet or maybe he thinks it's a part of his fun games but he will, soon enough.

Sabrina"How dare you bring me to a motel? You think I'm one of those cheap sluts you play around with as you will?" Sabrina fumed, ignoring the look of total confusion her words brought to Julian's face. "Read my lips you scumbag, I do not want to do anything of that sort with you. Hell, I don't even want to be in the same space as you are and I'm barely coping..." Sabrina was raging on and on and it seemed like the more she spoke, the more angry she became so Julian tried to calm her down."Wait, wait, you think this is a motel?" He asked with a chuckle. He had no idea why he warmed up to the lady despite her fierceness. Maybe that was what intrigued him in the first place.Sabrina stopped raving and just stared daggers at him."You think I want to do something of that sort with you?" Julian asked again, a subtle smile of amusement on his face."Of course! Why else will you bring me here instead of taking me to the hotel we booked? This is not the name of the hotel. JULIAN The day Julian and Sabrina were meant to travel finally arrived, and they both made their way into the private jet that was waiting for them at the airport. Immediately after they stepped inside, Julian noticed the change in Sabrina's expression, and it was quite easy for him to tell what the cause for her sudden change in expression was. “Why are the chairs so close to each other?” She questioned, slowly moving to one of them, while he moved to the other. “I am not the one that built this jet, so I have no answer to the question that you just asked me,” Julian replied as he slumped down into one. “It was a rhetorical question; you didn't need to answer it,” she replied with a quite feisty tone. “If it were up to me, I wouldn't have minded the chairs being so far away from each other,” she muttered under her breath. Julian turned to stare at her with the same amused expression that always finds its way to his face whenever his eyes land on the embodiment of beauty sittin

Aveline I started getting worried. Not because of Betty this time around, or Sabrina or even my company, _although those always got me worried daily_This time around, I was worried because of the She-wolf who had been helping me through my recovery. I had not seen her in a while now and it was not normal for someone who always came around every morning to check in on me and keep me company, she hadn't come in for three days. I had every right to be worried. Considering what I went through in the hands of Kade.'What if he locked her up in the cell because she did something offensive?' I thought to myself with a deep sigh. She was a slave after all, and slacks are not cut for slaves in the clan. 'What if they killed her?!' My heart beat accelerated at this thought and I placed a palm on my chest to calm myself. I had to think about the positives that could happen but there were barely any positives that could happen in this shit hole of a clan where the Lycans kill for the fun o

Draven’s office was occupied by three people, with Draven seated behind his desk on his usual office chair, while the other two occupants, Brian, his beta, and Scar, Aveline’s right-hand man, sat on the two chairs opposite where Draven was seated. “Let's not even beat around the bush, and let me get straight to the point. I called both of you here to fill you in on my plan to attack the Lycans and set Aveline free from their grasp.” His gaze moved from Brian to Scar while he spoke, paying rapt attention to the expression plastered on their faces. Just like he had expected, the only person that reacted to this news was his beta, Brian. “You know this is not something that we are supposed to rush into,” Brian said and leaned forward, placing his arm on the table, like Draven wouldn't be able to hear him due to the little distance between them. He continued before Draven could interrupt him, “These people are far stronger than we are; they are well versed in battle individually. It w
