The line went dead as the barrier rose back up over the city. I stared at the phone, my heart sinking further. It was good to hear his voice even though you could hear the agitation and desperation. The emotions through the bond seemed to settle down though the moment we spoke. Bucho put his hand on my shoulder.
“He is just upset, sweetheart. Don’t take it to heart.”
“I know. Either way, I have something I need to do. Something I need to finish. I don’t know why his mate is after me but I will kill her. I will kill all of them.” My voice didn’t waver as I set the phone down on the table.
“We should almost be ready. Once the Spring Celebration passes we will face them head on.”
I nodded at him, my heart still not recovered from Desmond’s anger. Bucho guided me out of the room and into the chaos that was the main pack tent. Everyone was setting up decorations or busy with something in regards to the celebration.

I was woken up feeling Desmond pull the mate bond. I smiled and tried to reach out through the bond. I felt his worry, his desperation and his anger. It felt like Bucho had told him what happened. Bucho carried me out of the hospital and I shied away from the sunlight. It really had been weeks since I had been outside during the day. Bucho strode through the village but his face showed how unhappy he was. I still let myself relax in his arms. We headed to the far side of the village. Hello everyone! I know it's been a minute since I've updated on the things going on. I just wanted to update those who enjoyed this story in particular to a new story I am writing called The Rogue Kings. It's currently being updated and I know fans of Alpha Desmond will also enjoy that story. It's a stand alone werewolf book, that will actually be in two parts.
