Dean:

I walked out of my room to find the pack’s doctor at Alina's nursery.

I frowned in confusion, and I couldn’t help but feel my heart race before I walked inside before catching sight of Arianna who had Ray in her arms.

My heart ached, and I watched as she pulled him to her chest, feeding him under the breastfeeding blanket. I looked at my mate who had her attention on my nephew, and I couldn’t help but find myself regretting the way that I treated her earlier.

“He has refused to eat all the bottles that we’ve been trying to give him,” the pack’s doctor said, and I frowned as I heard her words. “We would have resulted in adding an IV, but even that would have weakened his body if he grew up with it.”

“If he is rejecting bottled milk, then bring him to me, I will be feeding him with my daughter.” She said, running her finger over his lower back, gently massaging him. “How is his stomach? Have you checked whether or not he has a bacterial infection due to the bottled milk?”

Arianna: I walked out of the house with a heavy chest, knowing that I was going to have to deal with more than I could handle. And though that was rarely ever the case within the case in my and Dean’s relationship, I am guessing that what is normally called the honeymoon stage was now over. The fact that I knew that Dean still didn’t see himself as wrong was not something that I was going to deny; however, at this point, I knew better than to comment on the subject. I wasn’t going to be able to teach himself something that he did not want to learn, and I certainly wasn’t going to be changing his mind on how he wanted to treat his sister. The most that I could do is force my own boundaries, and even that was going to take a lot more time than I would like. “Trouble in paradise?” Kai asked, and I rolled my eyes. The fact that even he was a dick to me wasn’t something that I could easily ignore, and though I understood where it came from, and I understood and could read his anger; I s

Dean: A heavy feeling settled in my chest as I looked out the window to find that it was getting dark. The fact that neither Kai or Arianna were answering their phones didn’t make things any better, and the idea of something going wrong was one that I couldn’t get out of my head. “Anything?” Viktor asked, entering the office, and I shook my head. I knew that Arianna was angry with me, but I also knew that she wouldn’t disappear like that. And even if she did, Kai would have at least told me where they were heading off to. Hell, a message would have done the job. “Do you want me to send the men to look for them? The cameras of the city at least?” He asked, and I nodded. At this point, just knowing where they were was going to be good for me. As long as she was safe, I was not going to ask for more. “Check all the cameras and make sure that the men roam around the city corners to know where they are.” I said, looking out the window of my office. The idea of them leaving the city was

Irina: I had to fight back the cold smile that almost formed on my lips as I realized that Lorenzo had done what he wanted. The fact that the house has been quiet throughout the whole night told me that Kai and Arianna were now with Lorenzo and that Dean couldn’t find them. His attitude with me earlier was one that would have normally pissed me off, but I wasn’t dumb this time, this time, I knew that he lost, and that was something that I was more than a little happy about. To say the least, it told me that I was getting closer to my target, and that was something that I wanted more than anything in the world. “How are they?” I asked, entering Alina’s nursery. Though I didn’t really care how the child was doing, I knew that to get my place in the pack, I had to pretend to care about her. Mom and dad were coming home tomorrow, and I didn’t want mom to be the one taking care of Ray. To say the least, she has had enough mother titles in her life, and that was something that I wanted t

Arianna: I frowned as I woke up to a bucket of cold water being thrown at me. My eyes widened in surprise, and I coughed. I looked at the man who stood in front of me, and I frowned as my eyes met my father’s. Kai, who was sitting beside me, growled. Lorenzo laughed, and I couldn’t help but find myself flinching as I tried getting up from the chair that I was sitting on; however, an electric shot took me off guard. I took a deep breath as my heart raced against my ribcage, processing the fact of what just happened as electricity coursed through my veins. My wolf grew alert, and I clenched my fists, trying to force the electricity out of my numbing body. I glared at my father whose eyes met mine and he smirked, “I do suggest that you don’t test my patience more than you already have.” “You fucking bastard…” he punched me in the face and I growled. “You seem to be forgetting that you are in the presence of your father.” He said, and I glared at the man. Kai’s eyes were not fixed o

Lorenzo: “You just allowed them to escape?” Elijah asked, frowning in confusion. The man didn’t know that he and his sister were my bait. I threw it in, and now war was going to be starting. The one thing that they didn’t put in mind was that I wasn’t going to be dealing with traitors. If anything, they could betray me too. “You are foolish if you think that I ‘simply’ allowed them to escape.” I said, crossing my arms over my chest. Both Arianna and Kai didn’t know that they were asleep in the basement for the past three weeks, both recovering, processing, and of course, training in front of me. Flashback: Mariana watched from a distance as her son and my daughter fought. Both were under my control and all it took was a click on a button for them to react. And I had to admit, seeing them, their fire in their eyes, and how strong both were, I was impressed by my offspring. I watched as Arianna got on her brother’s shoulder, nearly breaking his neck and killing him, before I r

  • Alpha Dean   Chapter 128

Dean: I frowned as Arianna’s scent filled my nostrils. It’s been weeks since both her and Kai disappeared, and the pain that I’ve been feeling since was one that I couldn’t describe. I got up and walked out of the office, watching as the door opened, revealing both Kai and Arianna as they stood by the door. They both stood, frozen, as if in trance, and the pain that I felt when I saw how much pain she seemed to be in. Scars filled their faces, and though standing, I could tell that they have been through a lot. “Dean?” Arianna said, and I rushed toward her before hugging her tightly. She hugged me back, and a sob broke from her lips. I tightened my arms around her, and burying my head in the crook of her neck, I inhaled her scent, taking as much of it in, as I tried focusing on the fact that she was back. “I am so sorry, malyshka.” I whispered. The regret that I felt upon losing her when the two of us were fighting was something that I hated. The way that she looked at me was

Irina: I watched as Arianna’s eyes darkened, and for the first time since I was a child, I saw Dean genuinely scared of hurting someone. “Arianna, snap out of this,” he said, watching as she approached him. The woman’s eyes were black, there were literally no pupils, her eyes were completely back, and for the first time since I have started working with Lorenzo, I couldn’t help but find myself fearing what I did. The man literally created a remorseless monster, and seeing Arianna right now, I understood why he chose her. The woman’s physique was not one that he could tamper with even if he was controlling her. The woman grew up strong, she grew up with the endurance to handle what she was doing, and that was something that Lorenzo took advantage of. “Viktor, she is going…” “You are lucky to be alive.” He said, stopping me. “And if I am holding on to my last strand of patience right now, I do suggest that you don’t take advantage of it.” He had me cuffed to one of the chairs, a

Lorenzo: “How did you…?” “Do you really believe that, I, the mother who has been locked here for the past twenty six years, I believe? Would be able to chain my daughter out of the bullshit chip that you put on her?” Gabriella asked me, shaking her head in question. The small smile that formed on her lips told me that she was happy about this, and the fact that even Malakai’s signal was breached told me that the Ivanov’s have the two of them and have managed to get it out of their shoulders. “You are still a bitch in nature.” “And you are a fucker who doesn’t know not to mess with a mother or her daughter.” The woman said, and I raised an eyebrow. “Now that the Ivanov has her, you are not going to be able to stop the rage that will come from the two of them. And the two of us know very well that you are going to end up regretting every last second of what you did. To say the least, they will both come back to fight, and it will be stronger, fiercer, and you are going to be fearing

“You called for me,” the Alpha asked, entering the hotel. Arianna looked at him and he smiled before opening his arms for her. She looked at her mate for a second before taking a step toward the Alpha. He hugged her tightly before pulling away to shake the Alpha’s hand. “You need not worry about me trying to steal your mate, Alpha Dean.” He said, looking down at the woman as she walked back to her mate. “She wouldn’t spare me a second glance anyway.” Arianna laughed and ran her finger over her mate’s chest as he wrapped his arm around her. “How are you, Alpha Alessandro?” “I am well, Alpha. However, I am more or less curious as to why you would call me for a meeting in Vegas when we could have met in either my house or yours.” He said, raising an eyebrow at the Alpha. “Lucius is back.” Arianna said, and the man’s face dropped. “You’ve heard the rumors.” He said, and she nodded. “Do you believe them?” “I have no reason not to.” She said, taking a step closer as she showed him her

  • Alpha Dean   Epilogue

“The body isn’t here.” Arianna said, looking at Alpha Dean who frowned in confusion. The man had followed her to ensure that she was okay, but the last thing that he expected to hear was that the body of his enemy or more specifically, her mother, wasn’t there. “Arianna…” “We are being played, but by who, why, I don’t know.” She said, her voice cold. The Alpha knew that his mate was speaking out of anger and torment. The pain that she was feeling was one that she did not understand, and judging by Lyov’s expression, he felt the same way. “Mariana?” Alpha Kai asked, shaking his head in question. “She never arrived with the Alpha and yet her scent…” “As I said, we are being played.” Arianna said, taking a step back to hide her tears. The Alpha, her mate, grabbed her hand, stopping her before pulling her to his chest. “I know that it hurts…” “You don’t.” She said, her voice coming out colder than she intended for it to. His eyes dropped to the ground but she took a deep breath. “Don

  • Alpha Dean   Chapter 137

Dean: I watched as Arianna sat on the couch, facing her mother whose eyes met mine for a second. I had to fight back, glaring at the woman as I reminded myself of the fact that she might have been, most likely, forced into staying away from her daughter. I could see it in her eyes when Arianna looked at her, and I could tell that things ended up taking a turn that she did not want for them. However, there was nothing that we could do about it right now. We were going to have to deal with what we had the way that we had them, and one way or the other, we were going to have to be able to cross the mountains together the way that we climbed them. “You have ten minutes to explain to me the basics of what I need to know.” Arianna said, and I shook my head at my mate, knowing that she was having the impatience of a toddler. “Because believe me right now, if I am sitting in front of you, it is because of my mate. However, if it were up to me, I would have been in my bedroom alongside my d

  • Alpha Dean   Chapter 136

Arianna: I laid on our bed as Dean entered the room. “I really don’t want you telling me to hear her out first, Dean.” I said, not bothering to raise my head from the pillow. The two of us still had blood on our hands and clothes, and I knew that we were going to need to change the sheets before bed. But at this point, I didn’t care. I just wanted to lay in bed for a while. “I didn’t come to tell you anything, malyshka.” He said, wrapping his arm around me as he got on bed behind me. He pulled me toward his chest and a sob escaped my lips before I could stop it. The thing was, at this point, regardless of everything, I was grieving. I was grieving for the man that I called father for years. The man has abused me more than anyone could have, mentally, I mean, and yet, I knew no one but him. I lost my mother to find out that she was alive, seeming to be by our side for so long and yet, not once did she bother to make an appearance. The man that took her away from me was the one fam

Gabriella: I watched as Arianna looked at me, trying to process whether or not I was really there. It was a habit that she had when she was younger; therefore, I wasn’t really surprised when I saw that she was frightened and worried. “Do you want to drink anything, Gabriella?” Lyov asked, and I shook my head. The fact that I saw the man with his wife and son was something that I was thankful for. I knew that he missed a lot as he looked for me. “I am fine, Lyov.” I said, and Arianna shook her head. “You couldn’t have been alive through all this time and yet I’ve never noticed you. The two of us know the number of times that we moved around. Hell, Lorenzo was sure to never have us staying in one place for more than…” “Do you really believe that I am a lookalike that looks exactly like your mother, knows you by heart…” “You know nothing about who I am, what I am, or about me.” Arianna said, and I smiled. “I know that you have a heart of gold, and I know very well that you chose y

  • Alpha Dean   Chapter 134

Dean: I growled as I ordered my pack members to attack the man who dared call himself Alpha on my grounds. The man didn’t know what he was getting himself into, but I was more than a little sure that he was getting ready for more trouble than he could afford. “I take it that you are taking the habit of hiding behind your mate.” Lorenzo said, and I chuckled. The man was taunting both Arianna and I, but what he didn’t understand was that I was not going to allow him to get between my mate and I. However, judging by how Lyov was looking at the woman, I doubted that she was ONLY a lookalike, and considering the fact that even Arianna, despite not wanting to admit it, didn’t shoot the woman, then something was most likely up. “And I believe that you really don’t know who you are messing with; but then again, I doubt that you ever knew that.” I said, and he growled. The man believed that he could taunt my mate in front of me, but I was going to be sure that I taught him a lesson that he

Arianna: I froze, staring at my mother for a second too long before shaking my head. She wasn’t alive, this was just a game that Lorenzo was playing. He wouldn’t have been able to cheat on the mating bond with Mariana throughout this whole time when she was still alive. I knew that he wouldn’t. “Arianna…” “You are playing a very bad game, Lorenzo.” I said, stopping Lyov from saying a word. The idea and fact that I knew that he would easily try telling me against this was something that I couldn’t deny. But I knew for fact that he was just as delusional. The woman died, I saw the building burning with her inside it. “Am I, child?” He asked, knowing that he was testing me. “Do you really believe that I am playing a game?” “She died.” I stated, my voice becoming colder than it ever was. He chuckled and pushed her in front of us. Lyov growled, and both Yaroslav and Viktor tensed. Yelena, who stood a few steps away from her mate, froze, looking down at the woman before whispering. ‘

Dean: “I want the pack ready, and for the humans to go inside. Protect the kids and I want no one who isn’t ready to fight to go out.” I said, speaking to the pack’s headmistress. She and the other maids were trained for such fights, and I knew that they would be having both Alina and Ray with them. “Until I call you, you stay in the underground tunnels. And if things backfire, you know what to do.” “Yes, Alpha.” She said, and I nodded. My one concern right now was my sister, but I wasn’t dumb, she was in the basement, away from all of this, and hidden. Needless to say, IF things did backfire, then I doubted that she would be affected. If anything, she might end up getting a reward for what she did. “Go,” I said, looking at my daughter for a second. My heart ached at the fact that they were to run with her being this young, but right now, I knew that we were not going to have another option. I ran my finger over Ray’s hair, the guilt that I felt for him was one that I couldn’t des

  • Alpha Dean   Chapter 131

Arianna: I frowned as I took a deep breath, processing that I was in a room that I didn’t recognize. My heart raced, and I tried sitting up only to find myself cuffed to the bed that I was laying on. The memories of Lorenzo filled my head, and noticing that I couldn’t see Kai, I couldn’t help but feel like my heart was going to burst at how fast it was beating. “Kai?” I called, looking around frantically. “Hey, easy,” Dean’s voice echoed through the room and I growled, not wanting this to be another mind game from Lorenzo. The man has put me through enough torment to get me to process that he wanted me to kill my mate, and that wasn’t something that I wanted. “For the last fucking time, Lorenzo, I am not going to kill him.” I said, and Dean frowned in confusion before he took a deep breath. “Lorenzo is not here, malyshka.” “As if I would be falling for that lie again,” I said, and the man frowned. “What has he put you through, baby girl?” He asked, looking me in the eye, and I
