Ended Up Getting Hunted

"So we finally met," his hoarsely rough voice penetrated her ears whereas his amber eyes remained glued with her grey ones. His burly physique and tall frame resonated authority, dominance but most importantly cruelty. His darkened aura overshedded the darkness prevailing in that gloomy cell. His gaze keenly stared at her.

"What an honour to meet you, Princess Alexandria," Aereza watched an insolent smirk crept on his chiselled face as he uttered those words to her. So they all were mistaking her for Princess Alexandria. Aereza made no efforts to correct his mistake because that was least of her concern at that moment.

She witnessed his eyes took a brief overview of her whole body which turned his grin more iniquitous and cunning. Aereza clenched her jaw when his gaze again collided against her orbs. 

"So, will Princess Alexandria Wilderwood do me the pleasure by telling me what she was doing in my territory at this time of the night?"his tone held amusement as he asked her. He had expected to see fear in her face but there was none. She was standing there, peering at him, fearlessly. Interesting….a fearless intruder. Crossing his burly arms against his muscular broadened chest, he took just a step closer in her direction which turned her alert.

"Does the Alpha of Emerald Stone pack have decided to send his daughter to spy on me?" He taunted her, grinning but she didn't open her mouth for once. Her silence made him take his steps further closer in her direction while uttering 

"I am expecting an answer, Princess," his feet halted just before her. He waited for her to flinch or back away from him but she chose to be in her place. Her braveness was entrancing him to draw more closer to her. 

"I am not a very patient man, bellissima…" he took his face a little nearer to her. His warm breathing tickled her lips.(Gorgeous)

"So you better open this beautiful mouth of yours or I will have to make it speak on my own," his tender voice laced with a deadly warning. They both knew how brutally ruthless he and his ways were. 

Aereza didn't even think about trailing her eyes away from him because they had finally seen the face of that person, that person whose name was haunting her from the past 9 years like an evil shadow. Every inch of her existence was writhing in wrath. Her hands were painfully aching to tear his body and tainted them with his blood. Her eyes needed to witness him begging in front of her for mercy, just like that way she had witnessed her sister begging for mercy to those monsters whom he had sent.

She felt tears gathering in the back of her eyes but she tightened her jaw violently in order to hold them back. Her breathing hardened. His sharp eyes successfully caught that tremendous amount of hatred flaming in her gaze for him. It was not something normal. He clearly understood that her hatred for him was screaming for his blood but the question here was why? What had he done to this bewitching intruder of his to receive so much hatred from her? The curiosity to know its answer filled him with something interesting and content. 

"Didn't your father teach you that …" he leaned closer to her ear and completed his words.

"We shouldn't go out all alone in the middle of the night because there is always someone in the darkness waiting for us to hurt and harm us, bellissima," his voice turned husky and sensual. He was not someone to be known for treating his enemies with calmness or tenderness but he could feel this enemy of his was a bit special from the others. 

"A princess shouldn't be out of her castle at this time. She could ended up getting hunted with some predators," he sniggered 

Aereza felt him lightly brushing his lips against her ears. Her fists balled aggressively and she finally lost it when she noticed him lifting his hand to touch her. She ended up trying to hit him with her fist but before she could even touch him, she felt his palm grabbing her neck and within a blink of an eye, she found herself caged between him and the nearby wall.

Slamming her against the wall, he towered over her. Darren peered into her enraged silver eyes and for a split second, he felt like getting drowned into them deeper. His whole body shuddered as soon as he felt her soft skin captured in between his rugged palm. Her closeness was spellbinding him. He could feel the beat of his rigid heart pacing. What was happening? Was she a witch who was casting some kind of spell on him? Her pale grey eyes were looking like the epitome of serenity. She had a bewitching smell of rosemary and magnolia. For a brief moment, he forgot about every single thing because his inner beast was yelling at him to get more and more close to her. He closed his eyes and breathed into her intoxicated smell which made his wolf, THUNDER, roar that thing inside his head ……MATE…

Aereza watched him snapping his eyes open and suddenly that playfulness in his eyes got replaced with something malicious and dark. He squeezed her neck in a very painful grip, almost blocking her air.

"Who are you?" His baritone turned darker as he questioned her. His glowing amber orbs were now flashing like burning balls of fire. Her face reddened due to lack of air. 

"Who the fuck you are? " He growled, dangerously. His eyes started flashing crimson. He had almost blocked her air but Aereza was quick to tackle the situation. She injected that wolfsbane in his neck which she had secretly taken out from her pocket. 

She watched him clenching his jaw, as that wolfsbane started doing its work on him. His grip started loosening around her neck but his aura turned even more deadly and furious now but she knew she was in control there now. Shoving him away from her with a forceful push, she glowered at him.

His feet trembled as he felt like his senses were slipping away. The stinging sensation on his neck made him aware that she had injected him with something and he was sure it was a wolfsbane ... .a kind of thing which got used to turn werewolves unconscious.

"We will meet again, Venzor…." He heard her voice finally but it came as a faint whisper for his ear because his senses had started turning numb. He fell on the ground and watched his mate running away from there before he closed his eyes and lost his consciousness.

"Alpha….." Darren regained his senses and found himself guarded with his pack members and Beta, Rowan. He hurriedly got up on his feet and felt a throbbing headache but ignoring it, he roamed his eyes everywhere in that cell in search of her.

"Where is she?" He shouted like a caged animal. The fucking audacity of her. She came to his territory and dared to inject him with that fucking wolfsbane, but how could he get so careless to let her do it? The answer was very simple: he already knew that it was the fucking mate bond which had turned him reckless in front of her. She was his destined mate and he had felt it as soon as he touched her and smelt her. It was her all this time. HIS MATE….

Receiving no replies from his guards and watching their lowered heads, he got his answer. She escaped. She fucking escaped. For the first time in his life, someone had defeated him so smartly and bravely but he would not let it slip so easily?

Darren roared, shuddering all those guards in pure terror. 

"Get ready to attack on the Emerald Stone Pack. I fucking want her in front of me before the sun will set tommorow," he commanded, enraged. His guards immediately nodded at his order.

Placing his hand on his neck where he could still feel that stinging sensation of that wolfsbane which she had injected in him, Darren dug his nails there, increasing the pain more. Playing this game with that beautiful intruder of his would be so much fun and he was so ready for it. Now he wanted nothing but her entire submission in front of her and he would make her do it at any fucking cost.

Alexandria was pacing here and there in her chamber. Her heart was pounding inside her chest. She had reached the castle a couple of hours ago but Aereza had still not come back. Alexandria couldn't hold back her anxious thoughts. She was grateful no one knew in the castle that she had escaped to go to that lavender valley and she successfully reached her chamber without getting caught by anyone as the invisibility potion's effect only ended after she entered her back her chamber but what if anything happened to Aereza? What would she answer his father? He had warned her not to go there but she didn't listen to him and ended up going there and getting caught by those men and now just because of her, Aereza's life was in danger.

Dashing towards the open window of her chamber, Alexandria looked outside but there was no sign of Aereza. The night was almost on the edge of getting ended and the first ray of morning would bring countless troubles for her if Aereza didn't come back on time and she knew that really well.

The sound of the door opening made Alexandria snap her head towards it. Her eyes widened, witnessing that person entering inside.

"Aereza…." She uttered, shocked, before running towards her. Alexandria hugged Aereza tightly.

"Oh….my…. I am so glad you are finally here," she stated after breaking the hug. Aereza didn't say anything.

"You didn't tell anyone about my escape, right?" She asked her. Aereza shook her head before replying

"No, I haven't but I am going to tell about all of this Alpha Alanso,"

Her answer enlarged Alexandria's gaze. Fear washed over her.

"No, you couldn't do this, Aereza," she shook her head.

"You know that father will get so angry with me if he got to know about this. Please don't do this," she requested.

"But, Princess, if we didn't tell him then it might cause a very horrendous trouble for our entire pack," Aereza uttered. She knew that after her encounter with him, he was not going to let her away so easily. He believed that she was Princess Alexandria, so he might end up hurting their pack in order to reach her and she couldn't let him harm their pack members which included countless innocent lives.

"Please, Aereza….try to understand. At least, don't tell him about this now," Alexandria grabbed Aereza's hand. She looked at her with her pleading eyes.

"You know that tomorrow is one of the biggest days of my life but if you told about all of this to father now then it would get ruined," Alexandria said. Tomorrow was her mating ceremony. She was getting mated to the Alpha King Ralph, the Alpha of Dusk Walkers Pack. He was a very good friend of her father and their mating was an alliance to draw more power to both the packs.

"But, Princess…."

"Please, Aereza…. don't ruin my big day. At least wait for the ceremony to end. After that, you can tell father everything but not now, please……" 

Aereza exhaled a heavy breath and finally accepted her pleading. She was right, it was a very big day for Alexandria, so she shouldn't ruin it. What if she does believe in love or mates, it doesn't mean others don't deserve it or worth it to be happy by feeling and celebrating it. 

She nodded at Alexandria, making her smile. Alexandria hugged Aereza.

"Thank you so much," 

Aereza heard Alexandria uttering but her grey eyes were peering at that lamp burning over a table. Its fire made her recall those blazing amber orbs which made Aereza dig her nails in her palms. She knew it was not the last time she had seen them because she knew she was going to face them very soon but she didn't know it would be so soon.

"We are ready to attack and yes, tomorrow is Princess Alexandria's mating ceremony. She is getting mated to the Alpha King of Dusk Walkers Pack," Darren's Beta, Rowan, informed. He noticed his Alpha's jaw clenching as soon as he uttered those words to him.

Darren's flaming orbs continued to gaze at that flame of that igniting lamp in front of him which made him remember that inferno of hatred burning in those celestial pale grey spheres of hers for him. So his mate was getting mated to another man… 

Rowan witnessed a barbaric smirk washing over that 32 years old Alpha King's face. Darren's mouth escaped those words before his palm extinguishing the burning flame of that lamp by clutching it in between his bare palm.

"I think I need to give her my blessings on her mating ceremony,"
