After Ariel twisted the golden staff in her hands, she looked over to Layla and the both of them started laughing. They wondered how Damien and the guards felt when the both of them disappeared, they were sure that they weren't expecting something like that. Layla was laughing at the way they both surprised the guards and Damien , but Ariel was laughing at Damien . She was laughing at the way she pushed him away when he tried hugging her, but her laughter soon died down and her smile turned into a frown. She was happy that she was able to resist his charm but the sadness that she saw in his eyes wouldn't stop bugging her. He looked really sad, like he wanted to cry in her arms. She wasn't supposed to think about him or even feel pity for him, but she couldn't help it at all. Seeing him sad made her a little bit…sad. She looked at Layla and she saw that she was distracted.
