New thoughts

Damien was on his bed sleeping when he heard something. He quickly jolted awake but he did not stir and his eyes did not open. He was in that place between being awake and being asleep but he did not know the one to turn to. He could decide to go back to sleep. He certainly deserved a lie in after all the grueling and tiresome events of these past weeks. This stress from them had taken its toll on him and he really needed quality rest. It could certainly do more than help him since he was feeling fatigued.

On the other hand, Damien reasoned in his half asleep half awake state, what if he could afford to sleep no longer?
