Ariel stood confusedly in a corner of the room, feeling quite drained from all the prancing about that she’s been doing for a while now. She couldn’t seem to find any way to escape this cage of a room and now, she was beginning to feel quite anxious. She didn’t know how she was going to escape this room when she’s been practically locked in and disallowed from stepping foot out of the room. For most of the day, she’s been prancing to and fro the door and the adjacent window, looking for possible escape routes as well as plotting plans of escape; and after a few minutes of restless prancing, she finally came up with an escape plan, a plan that could at least get her out of here as soon as possible. The only thing left of it was how she was going to hatch the plan, and how she was going to execute it without getting caught. She waited and waited for quite a while, seemingly growing quite uneasy at each passing second; and when the door to the room finally creaked open, it was already re
Ariel found a way to escape the room she was kept in. The hallways were very complex and she didn't know where to begin from, but she kept on running. "I have to find an exit." She thought to herself, as she kept turning left and right and left again. She didn't even know where she was going, her best bet was that she would go somewhere with a window, so that she would jump out."Shit!" she cursed as she saw about three buff looking people, who she suspected were guards as she could sense the energy radiating from their bodies. She quickly hid in a dark corner, praying that her small size would come in very handy. "Weren't they supposed to be on patrol?" She thought, as sweat beads formed around her head. She prayed they would hurry up already, as she couldn't waste more time in one position. If she was going to escape from there, she had to do it fast."Come on, let's get out of here." Ariel let out a sigh of relief as she heard their footsteps dissipate. She waited a while before mov
"What happened?" Ariel found herself in the darkness and then, she opened her eyes to the light. "That's bright!" She groaned, as a headache began to form. She tried remembering where and what she had been thinking about before she remembered. "The moon goddess. Oh, thank you!" She cried out. The moon goddess had talked to her in her unconsciousness and told her exactly what to do. She remembered it all now. "First of all, I have to play mind games with Williams." The moon goddess had given her specific instructions that would help her in doing her best. She wasn't going to escape, she was going to fight them from the inside. She desperately wanted to go back home and she knew she could if she wanted to, but she had something she had to do first for her pack and her mate. She missed him, missed him so very much. She didn't think she would ever miss him like this at any point in her life. She wondered if he missed her too, if he was even looking for her. What if he didn't care about her
Damien was in his study as he was there most days, ever since Ariel went missing. At first, he killed himself with the fact that he was coming in here to look for answers, but as time went on, he realized that he just went in there to brood about his unfortunate luck. It had even become a routine, he would come into the study immediately he woke up, ask the patrol guards if they had found her and once they left, he would zone out till Alex came to call him for dinner. After dinner, he would go to bed and the cycle would continue as such.Today, he sat down on his chair looking out the window, not at anything in particular though. His thoughts were filled with only one thing; Ariel. He wondered how she was doing day by day, wondering if they had even killed her or if she was being tortured in any way. It just kept on causing him pain over and over again, but he couldn't stop thinking about it. She was in his mind like a tattoo. Even Alex seemed drained as well. He wasn't eating well at
It was a new day. Everywhere was bright and the weather was cheerful. That day, Alex and Jasmine were supposed to leave for the meeting. The meeting was to take place in another pack, and it was quite a long distance from their own pack so they needed to make an early start so that they could get there on time. Alex knew that Jasmine did not want to go for the meeting. She just wasn't feeling up for it and she had already informed Damien about it before but he didn't want to listen to her. Even Alex himself had also tried to talk to Damien but surprisingly, Damien did not accept his suggestion too. He did not want to understand that Jasmine was not feeling comfortable enough to go. He just insisted that they attend the meeting on his behalf in the other pack, and since there was nothing both of them could do about it - Damien was their Alpha and he had already given the final order - they decided to embark on the journey. As fast as they could, Jasmine and Alex prepared for the journey
Ariel entwined her fingers in fear and anxiousness as she stared from face to face at the people who were seated at the table. She swallowed her saliva to hide her fear so as not to raise any form of doubt in all that were gathered. It was obvious they hadn’t completely accepted her as a rogue and showing any form of nervousness would just sell her off. She inhaled deeply before taking a glass of water from the table and then having a sip of it while they stared at her. It felt like she was a celebrity at this moment… the only difference being that she didn’t like this kind of treatment.“Why are you all staring at me? Aren’t you hungry?” She asked, trying to lift the mood of the room. The atmosphere was way too heavy as everyone was busy staring at her so she decided to speak so that everyone would too and make her feel less anxious. A man whispered something into the ear of another and she clenched her fists, how she wished she could hear what he’d said. She stared at them all, it wa
Ariel stared at a sleepy Williams, she smiled to herself, this had to be the best way to learn more about the attack that was being planned against Damien and the pack. Taking the duvet off her, she got off the bed and got into her slippers before going to the mirror, her hair looked messy, but she didn’t care, what she’d come for was way more important than her looks. She slowly walked out of the room and locked the door so silently that she didn’t make a noise. She inhaled deeply, it was still early in the morning so not many people had woken up so she decided to make very good use of it, she had to look around, she was sure she would find something if she looked around. She inhaled deeply as she went from door to door, passage to passage and room to room looking for whatever it was she could find but she couldn’t find anything. Frustrated, she went and had a seat in anger. She held onto her forehead, where was she supposed to start? Especially when she didn’t know what she was look
Ariel was really sad and heartbroken. She hadn't felt this way in a really long while. Seeing her parents' grave just tingled something inside her, something that she hadn't felt in a long while. It was something she didn't know that she could feel until now. While crying, she received a mindlink from Williams again, but she ignored..again. She had no time for anyone else but her parents at the moment. She continued caressing the grave with so much love and care. Death was a really cruel thing. Ariel just sat in front of the grave and she continued crying. She sniffed noisily and looked up to stare at the sky. She closed her eyes and she tried talking to her parents because she knew that they were up there somewhere, they had to be."Mum, dad. I love the both of you so much and, and..I miss you." As she said the last word, a fresh stream of tears went freely down her face. She opened her eyes and looked at the grave again before she rested her head on it.Williams was really furious th
