Cassandra’s point of view:

Reaching out for us with his long arms, he was a couple of steps away from us when his steps faltered. I quickly pulled Lucas back when the zombie’s claws swung through the air, barely missing Lucas’s face.

If I hadn’t pulled him, he would have gotten some pretty ugly gashes on his right cheek.

Angling his face in a weird way, he stared at us like he could see us but that wasn’t the case. He could just sense us… or should I say hear us?

I motioned at Lucas to stay still as I tightened my hold on his collar.

Sniffing the air, the zombie’s head tilted downwards. He had scented Marcus’s blood. Taking a step closer, he perched down with his mouth opening wider the closer he got to Marcus. His venom like saliva kept dripping down on Marcus.

I made a face at the sight of it… and at the stagnant stench that filled the air.

‘You’re so dead, Marcus! I thought, holding my breath as I watched him leaning closer to his unconscious body, sniffing him.

Unlike me,

Cassandra’s point of view: Unlike any other time where I would stay away from this side of Dalton, I knew that if I didn’t do anything to stop him right now, Lucas would be wrongly beaten.“Dalton, stop it!” I yelled at him. Moving fast, I pressed my hands firmly against his chest to push him back when he tried to get closer to Lucas. He resisted. His wolf fought to take control of the situation. “I can smell him on you.” He growled out, glaring ferociously at Lucas.I looked at Lucas to find him lifting his hands up in surrender the moment Dalton said so. “I didn’t do anything to her.” He exclaimed, taking a step back from the seething Alpha.I could barely hold Dalton back. “Just listen to me… shouting won’t solve anything!”So, I thought of doing something else which I knew would calm him down right away.Snaking my arms around the back of his neck, I pulled his face down, closer to mine. His aroused eyes, shifting back and forth from light blue to dark blue, widened in surprise.

Dalton’s point of view: “That fucking scoundrel!” Punching the table out of anger, I cursed out. Lucas who’d been lost in his own thoughts, jumped, taken aback by my sudden outburst. “What do we do?” Cassandra’s soft voice helped calmed the anger coursing through me. “Question him until he’d admit that he was the one who helped Marcus escape.” Standing up with a sigh, I held up my hands, intertwined my fingers, and shook my head. “What was his motive though?” She asked, seemingly already thinking about it. “I don’t know. He wasn’t Marcus’s friend. Marcus might have manipulated him or something.” I shrugged. I knew Marcus well. He would go to any extent just to have his way. She raised her eyebrows in surprise but her pursed lips showed her disapprovement at the thought of Marcus manipulating someone just to have his way. “Then, will he be punished even if Marcus manipulated him?” “Manipulated or not, he did commit a crime for helping Marcus escape.” I declared firmly, leaving

  • Alpha Dalton   Chapter 60 - Alpha Dalton hated betrayers the most.

Rowan’s point of view: Alpha Dalton strode easily down the underground tunnel alongside the dungeons cells. Stopping by the cell in which Finn was being held captive, he gestured at me to unlock the door. I bowed in respect and quickly unlocked the door for him. Holding it open, I waited for him to enter the cell. It wasn’t the first time I’ve seen Alpha Dalton this serious. I was used to working with him in every kind of situations and this one was close to a similar occurrence that had happened before. It wasn't the first time that someone - a pack member - had betrayed Alpha Dalton and the pack. It had happened before and the circumstances were awful. After seeing what had happened with those traitors, I'm surprised that Finn had dared cross path with Alpha Dalton.Finn was chained to the walls with his head lowered down and eyes closed. On hearing us coming in, he raised his head and looked at us from across the cell. Clenching his jaw at the sight of Alpha Dalton, he stood

Cassandra’s point of view:I woke up in the dim, curtained bedroom the next day to find the other half of the bed empty. I wasn’t alarmed, though. Instinctively, I reached out with my mind, and … there. Dalton was in the kitchen. I felt … energetic.Like a pup straining to be let loose in a playground. But as soon as I walked into the living room, I felt myself getting weaker. And my eyes hurt as though sensitive to the touch and to light. I squinted towards the painful brightness of a window.‘It’s your wolf, you know, the other one,’ Lucas said. “It feeds on your energy, sometimes.” He went over to the window and closed the curtains.Unlike the blackout curtains in Dalton’s bedroom, these ones were sheer curtains. When drawn closed, it helped a bit but it wasn’t enough. The morning sunshine was barely cut off.“I don’t think that was any good but…” Lucas sheepishly rubbed the back of his neck.“It’s alright,” I sighed, walking in the kitchen to find Dalton turning around to look at

Dalton’s point of view: With an exasperated sigh, I sat down at my study table and scattered every document related to the paper works I had to complete in front of me. “Do you need any help?” I glanced up when Lucas spoke. He’d taken a seat on the couch by the office door. “There’s not much to do. It’s okay.” I shook my head. It wasn’t like I didn’t trust him. This was a top secret kind of mission that we’ve been working on and I don’t think the other Alphas would be as cool as me when they learn that I’ve let someone who wasn’t a pack member help me with the paper works. And Lucas was a rogue so I bet none of them would be as understanding as me. If it wasn’t for Cassandra, I would have been apprehensive towards Lucas as well. But, unlike other rogues, there was just something about him that made me trust him this quick. And the fact that both Cassandra and Lucas were so similar yet so unique in terms of having two wolves… was uncanny. Lucas might help Cassandra understand an

Cassandra’s point of view: I turned and saw a man with ash blood hair. He was very good looking, built about like Dalton, but a little taller, and maybe a year older. His hair was longish. His face had a nice shape, clean-cut features, and wicked slightly tilted eyes. But that wasn’t why I was staring at him. He gave me a flashing smile as he raised a hand, snapping his fingers. It was a snap which echoed in the entire empty house. “I’m Tyler,” he said. “Hi.” I was still staring at him like I couldn’t react nor think properly. I could barely sense my two wolves. It almost felt like they weren’t there at all. “Do I know you?” I heard myself asking him. Was he a pack member? I couldn’t really tell. “How will I know if you know me? You tell me, do you know me?” “What?” “Do you know me?” “I don’t think so.” I suddenly got a hold of myself but I was still so out of it. “Listen, um, I don’t know how you got in -” He jingled the key ring at me. “Dalton gave me these. He told me t

Dalton’s point of view: “The fuck is this thing?” I asked quite fiercely as I entered the cell where Finn was supposed to be. Clenching my hands, I looked around. There was a white mist, like Jeremy had described, still lingering in the air. It was faintly there but I could see it pretty well using my enhanced senses. “It had filled up the entire cell. We could barely see through it and when it slowly reduced, both Marcus and Finn were gone. They had completely disappeared alongside this mist.” Rowan explained. I turned to look at him and found him standing beside Jeremy. Seeing the terrifying looks on their faces, I took in a deep breath to calm my wolf before nodding begrudgingly. It wasn’t their fault. I shouldn’t be taking my anger out on them. This mist wasn’t something we’ve dealt with before. This peculiar incident had never happened to us before. And to think that two people could have just disappeared out of some locked dungeons cells were something none of us could have

Cassandra’s point of view: Something was whispering, close to my ear. I opened my eyes with a start. It was dark. No, not dark – dim.I could see shapes, but everything was grey and indistinct, as if I was looking through gauze. I reached up to touch my face, wondering if it was bandaged. My fingers connected with nothing. I tried again, but still…nothing.I couldn’t touch my own face.I held my hands in front of my eyes. They were definitely there. I could see them, same as they ever were. I just couldn’t… feel anything.I reached out again, this time for the rock wall that had appeared in front of me, hoping that its hardness and coldness would wake me from whatever strange dream this was. But, my hands passed through it as if it was only an illusion of some sort.I thought that I should probably be terrified by now, but I felt strangely calm. Close by, something whispered into my ear like a hushed voice. I turned my head, but there was nothing – no one – there.Am I a ghost? I a

  • Alpha Dalton   Chapter 95 - All's well that ends well

Cassandra’s point of view: Dalton saw red and impulsively dashed across to punch Levi in the face but Levi raised his hand and with one flick of his finger, Dalton was sent soaring back in the air.He landed flat on his back, his head brutally hitting the ground, knocking him out cold. A pool of blood soon formed around his upper body.Levi must have used an incantation on Dalton.Seeing this, I felt a burst of negative energy but instead of acting on my own; I clenched my hands and gritted my teeth together to hold still.Dalton would be alright. I could still feel our mate bond. But, the mere thought that he was left stranded over there on the ground, took everything in me not to run to his help.Hecate and Levi’s eyes were fixed on me. I knew better than to let myself get distracted by them at this point. They played with us for ten years but I won’t let them play with us anymore. They might find it amusing to see true mates being apart but I’d show them what an enraged mate could

Cassandra’s point of view: “I don’t like this… the moment Alpha Dalton told me that we’d be following this witch’s directions; I wasn’t ready at all but…” Alpha Maddox complained. “I don’t like it one bit.”“Neither do I, Alpha Maddox.” Alpha Eric whispered, agreeing with the old man. “But what are we supposed to do? She may not be one of our kind, but she has always helped Alpha Blaze.”Shoving his hands into his pockets, Alpha Eric added with a resolute shrug, “As long as she doesn’t betray us, I guess we’d be alright.”Everyone could hear them talking… even Patricia but she didn’t seem like she gave a fuck about their opinions.I pursed my lips at the two Alphas and looked at Dalton. ‘Don’t you think we made a mistake asking Alpha Maddox to come along with us?’‘He can be a bit orthodox but –’‘A bit…?’ I arched an eyebrow at my mate.‘Okay, I’ll be honest… he’s the most orthodox Alpha I’ve ever known but he’s also one of the most experienced one among us. And I had to inform him

  • Alpha Dalton   Chapter 93 - Invading the Moon Howlers' secret hide-out!

Cassandra’s point of view: Around us, the darkness was absolute, the silence oppressive. We could see perfectly well but Dalton, Alpha Blaze and the pack warriors couldn’t see us anymore. We made them hide in certain spots where they wouldn’t be seen from here.Together with Lucas, I stepped inside the tunnel leading towards the Moon Howlers’ secret hide-out. Observing our surroundings well before invading their spot, we had each others’ backs.Nothing could be heard from this far but the moment we reached mid-way inside the tunnel; we started hearing hush voices except it wasn’t whispering anymore when we focused on those voices using our primordials’ powers.Lucas held my wrist to stop me and then, pulled me to the side. We stood with our backs to the ceramic tiled wall as we listened in to the conversation. It was Levi… he was speaking to someone.“Everything is going as planned. We need one more week before we’d be ready to take over the werewolf race.” Levi explained to someone.

Cassandra’s point of view: Lucas tackled me to the ground. Breathing hard, I closed my eyes and took a moment to calm my pounding heart.“Come on, get up! We won’t stop until you get this right.” Lucas shouted.I groaned miserably as I forced my body to move. We’ve been practicing for hours… getting trained and getting accustomed with my primordial powers. With the help of Lucas, I’ve been able to get my wolves to work together – well to a certain extent. But, I was determined to make myself well-matched with Lucas in terms of his primordial powers. We needed to get this done, together, for the unprecedented battle awaiting us.Warlocks were known to be one of the most powerful beings to have ever existed on earth. They were stronger, fiercer and vile than witches.Among the werewolf kind, the primordials and the Lycans were at par but relatively, primordials were more dominate and tougher.Distracted, I glanced up when I caught a whiff of Dalton’s enticing scent. I looked in that sp

  • Alpha Dalton   Chapter 91 - Luna Cassandra of the Crescent Moon pack

Cassandra’s point of view: “Cassandra, I love you.” He confessed, his voice sounded steady, assured. He meant it. Surprised, I looked at him. His eyes tried to smile, but his lips remained fixed in a stark, upside down frown as though he feared my reaction to his sudden confession. I didn’t need to hear it. I could feel his heart pounding in his chest. He was nervous. The anger I’d felt vanished into thin air, replaced with a whole lot of emotions… feelings… All that crap, which didn’t seem so much like crap right now when his was the heart that was twisting and aching and mine were the anger evaporating into unshed tears. When I smiled at him through my tears, I felt a rush of relief go through him before he returned the gesture. He closed the short distance between us and slid his arm over my shoulders, pulling me into his arms. I leaned into his embrace with a blissful sigh. I regretted wearing my clothes. I would do anything to strip my body as bare as his. But I could st

  • Alpha Dalton   Chapter 90 - "You marked me!"

Dalton’s point of view: I woke up at nine feeling a lot better than I’d felt last night. It had taken me a second to remember everything that had happened, but hearing Cassandra’s contented sigh, and feeling her long, slim leg slide between mine as she draped herself over me in her sleep, everything had come flooding back into my mind. My lips tugged up into a smile, happy that I’d spent last night with her… I believed we both needed to be together, needed to feel one another’s warmth, scent and comforting presence after that whole ordeal with her parents and Alpha Julian. Looking down at her, my heart skipped a beat. Damn. I was so whipped for her... I never thought I’d ever find her, my destined mate, before but now that I’d found her, I’d do anything for her. Anything! I slowly and gently tucked a strand of her hair that had covered part of her left cheek behind her left ear. Smiling as I gazed down at her beautiful face, I softly rubbed her cheek with my thumb. She leaned m

  • Alpha Dalton   Chapter 89 - It was sheer perfection.

Cassandra’s point of view: My finger was wet with his body’s essence, and I lifted it to my mouth, tasting the salty flavor of him while staring right into his eyes confidently. Dalton reached down and tangled his hand in my hair, never taking his eyes off me. Hungry for more, I began to pull his shorts down, carefully, deliberately slow, lifting them over that throbbing ridge of flesh. I let my hand brush against his cock, watching his rippling stomach muscles flex in reaction. Holding my breath, I drew the shorts all the way down, revealing inch after glorious inch of him. “Fuck,” I couldn’t help cussing in a whisper, needing to take a moment to stare at the male beauty before me. I inhaled, but my breath didn’t seem to reach my lungs; I felt dizzy, light-headed. So weak with desire I had the urge to climb up and impale myself on him now, right now, without any further delays. But, I also wanted to taste him. To pleasure him the way he’d pleasured me. So I leaned closer, close

  • Alpha Dalton   Chapter 88 - "Shush... It's my turn."

Cassandra’s point of view: Looking down at Dalton, stunned, as always by his sexy masculinity, his alluring presence and his enticing scent, I paused to acknowledge that I’d reached one of those important moments in my life where I’d had to make a decision which would change the course of my life, either in a good way or in a bad way.No matter whatever else happened in the future though, I had no doubt – none, zero – that this decision would live on in my memories forever and definitely as a sweet good memory. Swiftly yet smoothly picking me up in his arms, Dalton dashed back inside the pack house, across hallways and several rooms before we’d reached his bedroom within seconds.Shortly after, we were in his bed.He had me straddling him while he laid there, watching me. His seductive eyes filled with desire, bore into mine.“Come here,” he ordered, reaching up and sinking his hands in my hair.I let him pull me down, needing to taste him.Our lips met, softly, more tenderly than w

  • Alpha Dalton   Chapter 87 - I wanted that nightgown off her...

Dalton’s point of view: I tossed and turned in my bed, my sleep repeatedly interrupted by thoughts regarding Cassandra, her parents and Alpha Julian. Why did they have to come get her? I sat up with a tired sigh. I might as well get up if I wasn’t going to get any sleep. It wasn’t even night time anymore. It was like four in the morning already. I couldn’t believe that I hadn’t slept at all. That was a first. Deciding to go for a walk around the pack house to calm down, I got out of bed and left my bedroom. I hadn’t realized when I’d descended the stairs to the floor below mine but I soon found myself walking down the hallway about to cross Cassandra’s bedroom. Was she asleep? It was pretty early for her to be up and around but knowing her… I fisted my right hand, readying myself to knock on her bedroom door to check on her but then, I shook my head and stepped back. Sighing, I chose to go to the courtyard. I needed to get those unwanted wandering thoughts out of my mind. There
