Chapter 25

CLINTON.

Twenty-one fucking years old. I was glad when she told me her age because I had thought she would not want to give it. And I was more than glad to know she wasn't seventeen since I thought that might be her age considering the fact that she was without a wolf.

When she told me about not having a wolf, I saw pure sadness wash over her and then I offered to share Kai with her.

I meant every word.

But I guess she might not know it.

When Kai spoke to her, I wasn't surprised. Wolves don't normally speak to others other than letting out a growl, except if the person was their mate. But she didn't know that.

I refused to tell her, even though Kai was pressuring me to tell her the truth. But when I didn't, he introduced himself to her and I watched as tears spilled from her eyes. Then Kai did what I didn't expect him to do. He lapped at her eyes, all the while asking me to tell her that she's our mate.

But I didn't. And that infuriated him, and he began to thrash around in my head. W
