Not letting you go

An eerie feeling crept over her skin as she stood in the silent living room. The curtains were drawn over the windows even though it was already dark, causing an imposing creepiness in the already scary room.  Thunder flashed outside and a loud bang as if someone was throwing something on the ground resonated in the house.

Well, that was creepy, as hell.

Thalia followed the loud sound and climbed up the stairs, and the more she walked up those sweeping stairs, the darker her surroundings became no matter how much she blinked, the dark doesn’t light up instead it got even murkier. 

When she reached the second floor, her gaze drifted to the only window that was on the second floor, through that window a lake glinted at a distance. It was dark and inky black with the reflection of the moon glittering on it, Thalia immediately turned her head away from it as a shudder went up to her spine, she didn’t want to look at that lake.
