Daisy POV

Something was moving - or rather, I was moving - but I couldn't figure out what was going on. My surroundings were pitch-black, and a voice inside my head was urging me to wake up. My eyes fluttered open, but the world around me remained dark and hazy. I tried to move, but my limbs felt heavy and uncooperative. I couldn't even remember how I'd gotten here. All I knew was that I needed to escape this place.

I started with moving a finger, and then I swallowed the saliva that had gathered in my mouth. My lips were dry and tasted sour, a sure sign that I was still alive. I fluttered my eyes open, gasping for air as if I had been pulled up from the bottom of the ocean.

At first, I remained focused in a position as the memories of what happened began to cloud my thoughts causing fear to hang on my face.

"My children!" I screamed, finally taking in my surroundings. I realized that I was in the back of a moving car, sandwiched between two large, burly men who were holding weapons.

Daisy POvJust as we were about to walk out of the room as the king had instructed, a woman and a man burst in, carrying a small girl. Her eyes were closed and her breathing was shallow, as if she was struggling to stay alive.“Your Highness, please send for the most skilled physician in the kingdom. Our daughter is dying; she's the only one left after the death of her two brothers.” The woman cried out, spreading the almost dying child to the floor as she went on her knees.“Woman go home with your child she's suffering from a chronic disease that no one can heal.” The king says his voice is coated with anger like he doesn't care what happens to the little child.“She's the last of my children. I can't watch her die. No treatment was working on her. Please help us with the royal physician.” The woman cried harder as she rolled herself on the floor while I watched her with pity in my eyes.No parent would be comfortable to watch their child die helplessly."Do you think the royal phys

Asher POV It has been five weeks and two days yet no news about Daisy was heard. I had to cut off all my business meetings and fly back to Arizona the moment the news reached me that Daisy had gone missing. Let's give it a go: Without a moment's delay, I dove headfirst into a frantic search for Daisy. I combed through CCTV footage of the road she took, but there was no trace of her. The lack of information only deepened my unease and sense of dread. Time was running out, and I knew I needed to act fast. It was strange that the people who kidnapped her sent back the kids but took her alone and up till now there has been no news about her, not even a ransom demand from the kidnappers. Her pictures are everywhere both on the internet and on the streets of Arizona with a good promise of money and fortune for whosoever finds her but yet no one has made a call about her whereabouts. I didn't realize how deeply I loved Daisy until she was gone. Without her by my side, I was overcome wit

Daisy POVI opened my eyes slowly, squinting at the bright light. My head felt heavy, and my limbs felt weak. It took me a moment to realize that I was lying on a bed, instead of floating on water. I looked down at my hands, noticing the pale, sunken skin and the deep, purple bruises on my wrists an injury I got while running for survival. It was then that I realized I had just woken up from a long slumber as the memories of everything that happened started recalling. How I was almost killed by that cruel king but was saved by the strange man. Then I was shot with an arrow and I fell back into the water and then, then…what happened next?Immediately I stood up from the bed I was laying as if it burnt my skin. When I can't recollect the memories of what happened next then I'm not safe yet.I'm no longer in my dress, I was in a white loss gown. Slowly I slipped my legs into the flip-flop slippers then I tipped toe to the door. I was very careful and gentle enough not to make a sound.I

  • Alpha Asher, Please Let Me Go   Chapter 86 Finally, it's over

Asher POVI raised my head from the pillow, eyes blinking against the morning light that streamed through the window. A yawn escaped my mouth as I stretched my arms and legs, feeling the impact of the night's make-out with her. Slowly, I sat up, my hair disheveled and there I was still heavy with sleep. But when I noticed the presence of the slender woman who was sleeping next to me, I had to pause whatever was going through my mind as I stared at her in awe, disbelief visible in my eyes. How could I not know? How could I not know that the woman right under my nose was my beloved wife, Daisy?Gently enough not to cause her to wake up, I rolled down the devout covering her chest up to confirm what I saw last night. The mark was still there, on her right breast, I was sure she was the one. This was the only thing I used to recognize her five years ago.“She's Daisy.’ That voice whispered in my head again, and the funniest, most unbelievable thing was that she was my mate. What is going

Daisy POVAsher had been everywhere around me. These days he closes early from work just to watch me with the kids, and at times he joins our conversation and plays with us. For a moment, we look like the perfect happy family that we were supposed to be, but I keep reminding myself that this isn't real.I was sure that he regretted everything he had done in the past, especially to me, and I doubted if he would ever stop blaming himself and hating himself. He always stays alone, if he is not reading in the room most of the time lost in thoughts and when I manage to watch him sleep in the afternoon during weekends he always has tears in his eyes. He always speaks in his dream like he was trying to reach out to me.And he has never relented in his search for me.At times, I wish I could just go up to him and tell him not to worry that I'm here with him, but I'm holding myself from doing that.Asher had dropped me off in front of my house as usual, but when I attempted to drop from his ca

My eyes were drawn to Asher, who sat at a table, his head buried in a book. His hair was a mess, sticking up in all directions, and his face looked pale and drawn. He seemed to have lost weight since I'd last seen him. He didn't even look up from his book as I
