I was returning to my quarter when I saw Tanya giving the child back to the chief maid. That was when I decided I would have to use her intelligence in search of the baby's mother by asking her for help.

I met with the chief maid asking her why Tanya had to leave that way but she said that Tanya gave her the baby the moment she told her that the baby was put into her care by me.

At that point, I knew that Tanya would think that the child belonged to me. Since I did not know where she was staying, I took it upon myself to trace her that night, and when I found her place, I retired back to my quarters.

The next morning before the cock crow, I knocked at Tanya's door with the hope that she would be the one to open the door. Unfortunately, it was her friend who opened the door.

With the look on her friend's face, one could tell that I was the last persona she was expecting, especially this morning.

Then I inquired about Tanya and her friend told me she was sleeping.
