Elara;

My hand rests on my chest as I let out a heavy breath, and my lips drag to the sides, revealing a bright grin on my face. Finally, I’ve escaped Alpha Arthur, and I know I’ve fled from death.

Stabbing Alpha Arthur’s abdomen was risky but it was something I needed to do to survive whatever he wanted to do with me. I can’t let him have my body. The first time was a mistake, but the second….. Means I'm either sick or crazy.

The fact he has the right, or should I say the privilege, to do whatever he wants with any she-wolf he desires makes it not safer for me. In our pack, the Nightshade Pack, there is a rule that states; no one dares to oppose the Alpha King, in whatever he wants or does. It’s a whole entitlement thing for him, and the consequence for anyone who dares, is death.

And at this point, I have broken that law, and even more, by stabbing him with my claws. My actions can cost the lives of my family members or even extend it to my friends, if Alpha Arthur decides to take
