"Hey, what's up?" Ace tapped my shoulder, his eyeballs swaying slightly to look at me.

I wet my lips. I wasn't ready to tell Ace what had happened to me.

"It's intriguing, but I'm afraid I can't. You know I haven't done this for a long time, right? I don't want to make it difficult for you." I searched for the most plausible excuse.

Ace relaxed his shoulders. "If that's what you want." He smiled slightly, then said, "Come in!"

I nodded and got into the car. I sat down and fastened my seat belt. I leaned my head back and breathed deeply. Evil thoughts danced in my head. What if Ace discovered I didn't have my inner wolf anymore? Could Ace accept a Luna without an inner wolf?
