HELENA

Being in a coma for over two years makes you realize how much you have missed. And I missed a whole lot.

I wanted to beat myself up for not being able to open my eyes and hold Aaron's face in my hands. I wanted to let him know that yes, indeed that I was able to hear everything he told me.

I think that's why I wasn't exactly surprised with how much everything had changed. But one thing I was clearly surprised on was how Aaron had so easily agreed upon going to dinner at John and James' house.

I wasn't that excited to go but I couldn't refuse to either. Just seeing how happy Aaron was by accepting and how excited everyone was to come, I just couldn't let myself refuse the invitation.

I so badly wanted to though. When John had told me that James was his husband I was ecstatic of how happy he seemed. But my excitement hadn't lasted for a very long time.
