Standing in the hallway like a clueless statue looking for what class had Film studies, I heard my phone buzz which I guessed was another missed call from Cassie. Shit. How do I explain to these girls?
Every one always agreed to a non committal relationship but ended up catching feelings.
What was a subtle way of explaining to her those two nights didn't mean anything?
Or maybe I was being too rude. I should call her back to tell her in a slick manner. Cassie was sweet to me and tried to please me, even when hurting. I'd give her that.
My phone buzzed again and I ignored it, heading down the hallway.
People sucked at descriptions. That or I was a sucker for taking it. Didn't the fat dude downstairs say the second floor and last door to my right? I was on freaking there and happened to barge into a group of students having a meeting.
And then, my intuition led me to the left but still didn't find it. Not until I spotted a petite girl with a pretty face. I caught her looking at me too with her cheeks slightly flushed a shade of red like her hair. I started toward her.
"Hey." I breathed out and almost chuckled, shaking my head at my cluelessness. "Do you happen to know where Film studies class is being held?"
A wide smile spread on her lips. Just then I decided to check her out. Nice legs on a mini skirt. Her hair cascaded down her back, gracefully . There was a look she gave me that was captivating. I didn't know if it was her flirting or just how she looked but it was hot.
My mind was filled up with ideas already.
"I'm Jane." Bloody hell was!
"So, Jane..." I cleared my throat. "Do you know where the class is?" I ran my hand into my hair and wore a smirk.
"Yeah. First floor." She bit her lips softly. For a minute, I was stunned. It took a lot from me not to imagine what could be achieved with those pouty lips of hers, but I composed myself.
I'd like to think I didn't just go for girls who openly wanted me. I liked chasing, although I was way too good for that and Jane right here, was a testimony, coquetting with me.
"Thanks, Jane," I said, thoughtfully before whirling around, headed to the designated direction when she scurried to my back. I turned to face her and she handed me over a note with her dials scribbled on it. When I cocked an amused brow, she answered with a coy smile before decamping.
She was straight, manageable and cute. Every Jane needed saving, but today, I had things to do with my time, I convinced myself.
After my dad's threat about cutting my credit cards, I decided to be good. Good meant going to classes early since my uncle wouldn't stop being on my dick.
People shouldn't be forced into doing things because-- they ended up doing it wrongly. I knew the kind of fulfillment that came with going to school and having a dream but just because I wanted to chill and have fun all day didn't mean I wouldn't have a future. That should be told to Uncle Sam since his thirty-year-old self won't focus on his dead ass life but has made someone else's son an object of torture.
I still didn't understand why my dad had gone this extra mile. Probably because of the distance
As I watched through the windows the class I had been searching for, my phone beeped for the millionth time and I swear I was going to be nice to Cassie and tell her, 'It's not happening', but it hadn't been Cassie all along but Riley. Riley that had been blowing up my phone with pictures of her delicious body in lacy lingerie.
Fuck.
I closed and opened my eyes back to stare at her pictures. She was gorgeous and one with a tempting body. Her bra had been pushed down to show more cleavage than necessary --not like I was complaining. It was a great view.
Riley>> Love me?
James>> You're so hot.
Riley>> Come see me?
My hands digged into my hair. I looked over at the class and then at Riley's text. There was really not much to think about. I dipped my phone into my jean pocket and twirled.
EmeraldIt was a huge mistake. Entrepreneurship would have been much better than Mr. Raven's wearisome class. People like Mr. Raven killed than lifted people's spirit."There's a reason why it's called pear-fect." he smiled at his words. "Cause a pear is the most perfect fruit." he raised a finger, pointing out.Sigh. ••My car's warning light issues had been fixed by the time I got to the mechanic finally! After a week of misery.
EmeraldAs I climbed down Mimi's car, I couldn't help but regret my choice of outfit. A short, fitted red dress that stopped above my knee with a black leather jacket on black boots. My make-up was done by Mimi, who decided to take things to a vixen direction than a normal Emerald direction with sharp red lipstick and eyeliner.I pulled my dress down, when I noticed the guys at the bar's entrance give me sinful looks.Meanwhile, Mimi had on jean shorts with vintage shirt on a boot. It wasn't anything out of the ordinary since she always wore make up.Strutting into Great World, I bit my lips out of nervousness. Although I had on a jacket, I felt shivers hit my spine. The club was beautiful with blue light accents, a neat bar with a tattoed bar woman, blasting trap music and bunch of University students grinding, making out, dancing...doing
DevinI never really imagined the night would end like this, with not just any girl, but the girl. It was just a casual hi I had said the other day because Steve had dared me to. They wanted to know just who she was as her face seemed new. It was just to test my game and have a good laugh. Not like we wanted anything to do with her, it was only to get to know her and maybe become friends. And when I spoke to her, she seemed too uptight—typical eleventh grader that thought boys only wanted to get into her panties—so I backed off.Even though she looked like my fantasy— tall, blonde, busty, I liked girls that knew what they were doing not the clingy, naive ones.Emerald knew what she was doing, kissing my neck as I undid the door to my apartment that was the backyard of the club. I didn'
EmeraldSummoned by a girl's loud cries, I walked in the direction out in the woods in leaves for my waist and seashells for my chest. The chirping of beautiful birds brought a smile to my face. I loved the green, lively leafs and plant, but I was never a fan of being barefooted and stained with messy damp. The voice came again shouting 'Emerald!' and I trotted towards the girl. Not until I felt a pinch on my arm that instantly tapped my eyes open to meet with Mimi. The proximity of her face and her eyes that looked like it was going to pop out scared me. I screamed.Mimi chuckled, lifting her head off me and settled on my bed.&nbs
JamesThere was a reason I liked Riley more than the other girls and kept coming back: she didn't give a fuck about the others. She only cared about making ourselves feel good."Are you coming back tomorrow?" She said, pulling on a shirt to cover her body. The buzzing sound of my phone made me jump. It was a text from Sean, a friend of ours. Somehow I'd pulled a full clique of my own. Not me technically, because Riley introduced me to her friends. Sean and I had became cool ever since. It was him asking to hangout tomorrow.I half shrugged. Voila. That way we could get the whole group hanging."Jamie?" She said seductively, starting toward me, climbing back on her bed.A smirk tugged at my lips at the fact that she wanted more. They always did. But... Jamie?

Emerald Class of 23;
My phone dropped to the couch after receiving an invitation from the police again to give my statement concerning Sandra's demise. Now, it was starting to get all scary because I had told them everything that happened, how and when. And to think I wasn't as close as the last call made it out to be. I was starting to get freaked out."Who was it?" Mimi asked, sat close to me like she hadn't made out anything from the conversation. Or my horrified expresssion made her curious."They want me to come by the station to give another statement," I said and she wore a dubious look."Didn't we do that already?" She asked. "Sandra died and was buried three weeks ago.""But it doesn't mean they've finished their job which is--finding her killer."She gave a sarcastic laugh. "You know it's so funny how relaxed you are about this. It's almost like you want to stare in a Sherlock Holmes movie.
Emerald"Why did you change your mind about going out?" Was the first thing I asked Mimi, striding into the living room, getting back from James's. I was surprised not to find her in the sitting room. She always woke up early and was usually making breakfast at the time. Blowing my cheeks, I started toward the kitchen first to have a glass of milk. Surprisingly, James and I did nothing but cuddle, seeing a movie. It was cute how he could be that way with me, doing nothing sexual but embracing me like I was the most important thing in his world. It did leave me thinking if he was really cool with how I had been lately or if he had been getting it somewhere else.Gulping the glass like a dehydrated horse, I placed the glass on the counter and headed to our bedroom to get her. She was such a witch to know the dress o had chosen to wear wasn't all that but it didn't stop James from calling me beautiful. I opened the door of the room slightly, ta
DevinHearing the car park in front of our apartment, I wondered if Damon had come again and went to peek through the window to discover it was Steve who had arrived quite early than normal. He had borrowed my car to attend one of the parties thrown by a part of our crew. His disposition as he climbed out of the car didn't like he had had plenty of fun.As he progressed toward the door, I went to lay back on the chair, so I didn't seem like a creep. He let himself in with the spare key I had given him in case I had fallen asleep and was surprised to find me in the living room."Rough night?" I asked, placing the phone I had pretending to text on away. He only nodded and started toward the chair close to me and handed me over my keys. "Thanks man."He sighed, dropping to the couch and I wondered what could have gone so bad at the party. Steve never returned home from one of those parties moody, instea
MimiWhining my waist softly to the beat in the midst of the crowd, I found a guy with blonde hair, staring at me with desire written all over his face. It motivated me to twist even more and bend my backside more than necessary. He was on a plain peach colored shirt on jean pants and didn't look like one to approach me.Meanwhile, I was turned at the fact that I was gaining a lot of attention. Since he did nothing but stare like a lost skull, I danced a bit teasing him and then averted my eyes from him. It hadn't been up to a minute when I felt a finger on my shoulder. I almost jerked away until I found out it was him. His turquoise eyes were to die for and were full of lust. I was fully aware of how hot I was and how much I knew how to work my body. It wasn't going to be anything serious if anything because it was already for the wrong reasons.I wanted to feel sexy. He was attracted to me physically. It wasn't the kind of love at f
MimiI stared blankly at Javier's text, asking to meet up. It was obviously a booty call but I wondered why I still considered it in the first place. Breathing out, I touched the back of my neck and brought it to caress my upper chest. If anything, he was good in bed and knew all my favorite spot but he didn't want anymore attachments than getting a free screw."You are going to be home when I get back yeah?" Emerald asked and then emptied her glass of mango juice on the table. She was dressed in a pink, long free dress, going to hang out with James. I wondered why she was dressed in that maternity outfit to see him. They hadn't made it to the boyfriend and girlfriend stage so I stuck with calling him 'him'.I wet my lips and sat upright, placing both of my hands on my lap. "Yeah, I should."She had gradually started to live life again and I was happy about it. She squinted at me dubiously and I gritted my tee
EmeraldThe harsh breeze came upon my skin giving me goose bumps and making me feel more overwhelmed than I already was. The only ever burial I had attended was for my mom’s elder sister who had died in a car accident fourteen years ago. Though as a child back then, I could sense the oddness of the atmosphere with people crying and dressed in all black and really dark shades. Flowers that were dropped on the casket with so much sadness and hurt rather receiving a rose from a lover on Valentine’s.Mimi squeezed on my shoulder, trying to sooth me. James was on my left hand side too, holding me slightly by the waist. He was as sad as the rest of us. Who came to a burial excited anyway? There were days to mourn and make you think about what you plan to do for the rest of your life. I wasn’t quite sure what I wanted but I definitely didn’t want to die and have my friends a
MimiWalking to the vegetable section in the store, my shoulders bumped in on someone and he pulled back immediately from me. I was slightly irritated and was going to curse the shit out of him but when I looked up, it was Emerald's Devin. I shouldn't be calling him that since she isn't with him and is with James and Devin was also moving on with his life I guess. It was really strange to see him there and I stared awkwardly thinking about what to say to him.He pointed at me, wearing an amiable smile. "I think the last time I saw you, you were with groceries. This could be a sign."I scoffed and rolled my eyes. "A sign of what exactly?"I hated that I came off meaner than expected and looked down at the floor to get my act together. I just wasn't having it today. We hadn't been since yesterday we reecieeved the news that Sandra kicked the bucket. So, yeah, my actions were unders
EmeraldI blinked rapidly staring at her mom and the man and Mimi looked at me with a blank expression before tears formed in her eyes.Sandra was really gone. I still couldn’t believe it. It didn’t seem like her parents were acting either. My shoulders fell back being too weak and Mimi came close to assist me back up. I put my hand on my chest, feeling the deep cut in my heart. I could feel her absence. I started to think about the first time I met her at the diner up till the very moment when I got fired. She accompanied me to the bathroom, pleading that I helped her friend out with her shift. Her dark blue eyes were still in my head and how beautiful she looked giving a puppy eyes. She was beautiful and sweet. A little bit reserved but low-key fun when she wanted to be. I was in the process of getting to know her more and it still surprised me how close she thought I was to her that she called me inst
Emerald"Hurry, Sophia!" Mimi yelled at her friend who had been taking much time than necessary to get ready. First of all, she woke up really late feeling a little hungover for taking drinks at the club and now it felt like it was hard to process anything.Mimi checked the time on her watch and wiggled her legs, growing more impatient by the minute. The plan was to drop Sophia off at campus and head back to check on Sandra to see if her surgery had gone well.Blowing out my cheeks, I pounce down on the couch. "I wonder what's taking her so long. She said fifteen more minutes and it's been a decade already."Mimi laughed, shaking her head at my exaggeration.Sophia had taken another twelve minutes to herself before coming out from our bathroom. She looked better in Mimi's black mini dress and with her heavy make up off. While others seemed to look good with makeup, that wasn
