Upon hearing the potential consequences, Scarlett also felt that, as governor, she had to step in to prevent a potential crisis at all costs. The panic in Cedrick's eyes was also genuine, but Dylan still had a hand on her, unwilling to let her go to Cedrick.

"I'll be fine! I'm just going to discuss something with him. I have the right to talk to anyone I want," she exclaimed frustratedly to Dylan.
