ADOLPHUS’ POV:

I go back to her room, where she was sleeping and realize that she wasn’t sleeping yet. I sat where I usually did and watched her blank expression. It was after midnight. Usually, she was sleeping around this time. The more I watched her, the more I was convinced it was happening again. She’d sleepwalk.

I jumped into the room as she got up and started walking outside. I pulled her back and closed the door, returning her to her bed. She didn’t know this happened to her and I knew damn well that it was because of me, because of those dreams.

I researched them after I learnt about the legacies. It turned out my Beta knew about it. He told me everything he knew but the problem was: it wasn’t much. My ability, Regression had clear rules. Three parties; one with the ability, which was me; a receptacle who held those memories of the future and a sacrifice.

There was no record of the previous Sigmas seeing alternative realities, even my wolf knew nothing about it.

This was beyond what I thought. We couldn’t save her. That was why I had a lot of nightmares about her dying.“I am giving her time to learn, you know,” he said. “I’m sorry about accusing but I only did what I had to do. You needed to be out of the picture for good, away from her. You give her a sense of safety so she loses her carefulness.”“So this plan had to go through a lot of regressions to be born?”“Yes, I was desperate. My mate died too. Ebony died. Everyone died. The ones who survived, I can count them with my fingers. You, me and Greyson. But according to the plan, I had to kill him in Phase 1. Greyson always found a way to shelter Ebony and you’ve seen it. He took her away and trained her. If it wasn’t good to the plan, I would have found a way to take her back.”Nialliv? That girl was nothing but a bitch. She deserved to stay dead. He was doing all this for someone like her. Not worth it.“Your mate is a bitch.”He threw his head back and laughed. “They are prepared for a

EBONY’S POV:I woke up to Adolphus’ hand sliding underneath my shirt, teasing my chest. I didn’t know what to think. He was awake and in my room. It was morning too. I didn’t believe he stayed with me before. Now, it was like he was proving it.“Don’t you have a pack to run?” I said in a half-sleepy voice.“Edward is doing everything. Like before. Did you have one of your dreams?”I shook my head. “No, not really. You’ll have to leave. Grandpa will be furious if he saw you here,” I smirked.“Yeah, I know,” he said, looking sad. There was this atmosphere around him that didn’t sit right with me. “Did your abilities manifest?”“Yes, I am reading books on how to control them. In one of the dreams, I used my abilities to transfer wounds that didn’t exist.”He nodded, as if he knew about it.“I want you to keep it a secret.”“Why?”“Because your ability is dangerous. Imagine if the alphas know about it, they’ll be threatened. You’ll be an easy target. If they can’t have you, they’ll kill y

I coughed more than anticipated. Because I was drenched in cold water, I ended up falling sick. Now, I was in bed, waiting for something to happen. Layla brought me one of the books from the library and kept me company, even when I told her it wasn’t necessary.“So you really don’t want to have anything to do with being the head?”“I told you so many times already. No. I just want to live a long good life. Leading a family is troubles. Believe me. I’d rather run in the wild than sit behind a desk, staring at countless files that threaten my sanity.”I watched her smile. It was the first genuine smile I have seen from her. It was easy to guess that she was sticking to me because of something. She had ulterior motives. I didn’t remember this girl from my other life but I remembered her from one of those dreams. She was Uncle William’s daughter but he mostly never brought her back. He sent her to live abroad and now, she was back.I had to admit that I wondered why but I didn’t want to c

I knocked on the door and waited. I didn’t want to storm inside like a ruffian. A faint ‘come in’ was heard and before knowing it, I was in front of my uncle. I thought he was better or I saw him in a bad light in the past, which made me feel slightly guilty. But to think he was such a terrible person, I didn’t think about it.I crossed my arms and glared at him with all the fury I felt.“Who else did you tell I am a Sigma?”He was confused for a second. “Ah! I take it you met my daughter. She can be quite rough sometimes.”“She wasn’t rough. She was complete trash. Coming at me saying that I would become a head and then after that, I get drenched in cold water because of three insects. And when I think I will enjoy myself in a sick bed, she asks me some weird questions and heals me. Then the three insects come at me, saying I sleep with grandpa and that I acted sick on purpose, as if someone told them I was sick. Because you know, I wouldn’t have thought about it if she didn’t heal m

  • All Over Again, My Dear Dark Alpha   Freda

ADOLPHUS’ POV:“Good morning, Mr. Bloodseek.”I stared at my receptionist briefly before heading to the elevator. Humans who knew about the werewolf world thought we had some supernatural ways to sustain ourselves. But the truth wasn’t that hard to guess. The Bloodmoon Pack had a company and it was doing great for generations. But it was a secret though. We weren’t going to tell the other packs that we had a company that brought us a lot of money.I always wondered what was the point of it but after hearing Frederick’s words, it seemed we gotta use everything to our advantage. The Bloodmoon Pack was the only pack that had ties to the Wildknights through a mutual business benefit. When I sat on my desk, I realized that it has been a few months since I’d come. Just sitting here, gazing at the city would give anyone a sense of power and control.I came here for one reason. I wanted to meet Ebony’s aunt, the one who raised her all these years. There was something suspicious about the enti

ADOLPHUS’ POV:Frederick was waiting for me in his room. I remembered where it was because before he accused me of murder, we used to come here. Just thinking about it, I could never forgive him. the whole situation put me in a tough spot.“Come and sit. This sure brings back memories,” he waved his mug of beer in the air, beckoning to me to come closer.“The memories you remember are not what I remember. You fucked me up pretty bad the last time we sat together.”But I still sat in front of him. Because I had questions.“It’s true. But I remember how close we were. I’ll just let you know that it was her idea. Ebony didn’t state that about you but we asked her theoretically and she answered.”“What do you mean?”“It’s true that we planned this together. But Ebony had a part in it. We asked her what would be the best way to make someone stronger, she said through hardship. But you see, our packs are peaceful so we asked her again. She said to make them up. So Phase one was simple. Fuck

  • All Over Again, My Dear Dark Alpha   I Don't Want It

EBONY’S POV:I awoke in the library close to seven and reached for the book under my cheek. Dealing with this entire mini-test has been trouble. As Raphael stated, there was literally nothing to look forward to find. All info in the books are basic knowledge that everyone should know. I got more questions than answers.I stretched, working the kinks out of my shoulders and back. I did a few exercises. While I was doing some moves, I was thinking about the book my uncle gave me. It was a pretty basic book that stated how a Sigma was different from other ranks. First, a Sigma liked being alone. It was totally me. Not like I compared or anything. Second, a Sigma wolf was born with the host. They called a werewolf’s body a host because it was what it was. The wolf was born after the shift in normal cases but with a Sigma, it was born with the host.Third, a Sigma had one enhanced ability. It could be anything but certainly, it never had abilities that could move mountains or anything. My

I couldn’t handle it. I pressed a hand on my mouth and leaned against a tree. It has been an hour since I called the werewolves responsible for the safety of the packs, the alliance. Adolphus was standing with the others, a troubled expression on his safe. I heard some words about the corpse being part of his pack.“Are you alright?” I asked him as soon as he joined me.“I should be asking you. You’re the one who’ll be traumatized for life,” he chuckled. A poor attempt at telling a joke.“I’ve seen my share. I just… it reminds me of a lot. I thought that things were good now. Frederick isn’t giving me a hard time. You know, he challenged me the other day. He told me that I should prove myself.”He flinched. “I see. Don’t meet him alone. You don’t know what he’ll pull.”“Don’t worry. I am strong. I won’t let myself fall into the same traps. Still, this is… This is bad. Someone is dead and his skin is completely removed, as if he was part of a test subject.”“I’ll take you home.”There

It’s sad that Chronos isn’t around anymore but I think it’s for the better. Now, no one has to take meaningless responsibilities. I guess without them, everything will be peaceful.”“How do you know…?”I cut him off. “C’mon! You’re a smart man. You know there is no way a five years old child will talk like this. I’ve lived through two regressions and I’ve come back again as part of the plan, only this time, this is the final phase. We can’t lose.”“Ah! What happened? Why did Chronos disappear?”“My father was supposed to be the sacrifice. I don’t know why but unlike all the other Chronos sent, I am the only one who got to regress more than a decade. That’s why they left the burden to me. Since my father is still alive, I assume that Chronos took the hardest decision in his life. He chose to die and take the others with him. I don’t know if I should feel

  • All Over Again, My Dear Dark Alpha   Back Again

EBONY’S POV:I opened my eyes early in the morning. I drank my milk and sat with my parents having breakfast. They laughed together and nothing reminded me of these moments. I have been waiting for my father’s heart attack for two weeks now and it didn’t happen.I checked my tattoo mark and it was there, just faint and impossible to notice.“Sweetie, do you want more milk? You’ve been sipping on your glass while it’s empty,” my mother said.Mom had long black hair and the palest, bluest eyes I’ve ever seen. They weren’t the normal typical blue. They were lighter and paler, as if they were diluted by white and became as blue as the sky early in the morning when the sun had finally settled in place.“Yes, mom.”And I was five.I couldn’t believe that it worked. My father was sitting there, wearing glasses and reading his early morning newspapers. Our house was small and it was full of magical artifacts. Maybe because I was five, I didn’t remember them. Or maybe because a lot happened af

  • All Over Again, My Dear Dark Alpha   Frederick

FREDERICK’S POV:I stood outside, thinking about everything that happened to me, all the regressions, the people we lost. I’ve grown numb to all the deaths. As long as Adolphus was alive, there was always a chance to change the outcome. My final role was to kill him. For the regression to happen, he had to die after her. Now, whether we wanted it or not, things would never be the same. I would go back to the kid I was and Adolphus would go back to his old self too. To be honest, I was always jealous of how he had a choice in remembering or not.He got out of the underground cell built specifically for today.“You certainly put so much into this,” he said.“Of course. But this is where our role stops. No matter how much we want to influence things with our current memories, it won’t ever happen. We won’t remember anything.”“It’s true. But this is the price we have to pay if we want it to work. We only need to someone to warn them. They will do the rest. If it doesn’t work again, then

EBONY’S POV:I was sweating profusely. I would die. I would certainly die. For the second time. I knew this was coming but I didn’t expect it to be this soon. I was trying to make a plan to fix things but it seemed all the effort I spent on that was a waste.“Adolphus, please be gentle.”Adolphus was confused. “Aren’t you mad that I killed your father?”“I’m sure he wanted that. He didn’t play a big role in my life so it doesn’t matter. But can you untie me?”He didn’t untie me because Frederick was ready to shoot me. But thinking about it, didn’t he kill me before too? No, he said that Adolphus must have poisoned me so I was dying anywhere. But I didn’t cough blood, which meant it could be that I wasn’t poisoned.‘Don’t overthink. These jerks planned a lot that they won’t say. Well, since we have no choice, let’s just wait till they settle their score. Maybe they’ll fight.’“Wait a second, you look like shit. Did my father beat you that hard?”Adolphus shot me a glare.“Woah! My fath

I shifted back to my human form.“You’re late,” he said. “I expected you to get here faster.”“Where is Ebony?”“With Frederick.”“Alright! I will go find her.”“I am afraid that you can’t do that,” he waved his hand and something shifted in the air. “You have to stay with me here. I want to fight you.”“What are you planning, both of you?” I growled. “She’s your daughter.”“I know.”“And you want to leave her alone.”“Frederick said that every time, you said the same words. That’s why the plan was for you to hate her but you still didn’t do that. He wanted you to hate her, to reject her while she wasn’t aware that you’re her mate. But it didn’t happen. I know why a part of phase 2 failed. When planning, no one thought of how my daughter is a variable.”“You won’t stop me.”I shifted and started running. He didn’t stop me. I thought he was all ta

I woke up in a cell. It was easy to recognize it because I’ve been there multiple times before. It reminded me of the torture I was subject to and how I suffered. I didn’t want to go back. And where was my father? The cell was dark. I couldn’t see anything. I tried to move my hands but they were tied. I was on a chair. I had to wait for a long time. I lost track of counting. Maybe it was the third time I reached one hundred.‘This is getting weird. We were with dad and then everything went black. Any idea?’Yeah, but I don’t wanna say it.‘Ammm… Yeah. Horrible. Dad is a jerk.’After what seemed like an eternity, the door opened. It was behind me and I finally caught sight of a lamp and a desk in front of me. Someone stepped inside. I felt him in my bones. Fucking Frederick.“Did you have to make my father into a jerk?”“He understands the consequences, don’t worry?”Frederick walked around and sat on a chair, not far from me.“How do you feel?”“Seriously? You’re asking me that? I fee

ADOLPHUS’ POV:When I saw a white wolf, I was confused. She was running and she didn’t care about the three that followed her. It intrigued me. And then, I felt my mark on her and knew it was my Ebony.I was stricken by how beautiful she was. She looked so free that it made me sad. She didn’t get to shift before and now, she felt how important it was.I didn’t want to overreact but I wanted her. Seeing her naked had only made me want her more. And then, there was her father. I was shocked. When Frederick said someone was telling her things, I didn’t expect it to be someone who was supposed to be dead.‘We gotta do it.’It’s hard to do it.‘We cannot run from this. We have to send her back and as quickly as possible. If she regresses to a time where everything can change, it will be better for all of us. • All Over Again, My Dear Dark Alpha   Down The Cliff

I was a wolf. I was running as fast as I could in the forest, forgetting everything that happened to me. It was so wholesome that I didn’t have to think about anything else. Nothing mattered but running.I felt freedom. Being one with the wind. For thirty years, I’ve never shifted once and here I was, running like a wolf. Nova was happy too. We were happy, ecstatic even. It was a feeling I’ve never felt before.I kept running and running, the wind over my fur but I didn’t feel cold. On the contrary, I felt complete. I finally had the chance to become what I was, a werewolf. We rolled in the grass, chased a few rabbits but didn’t catch them and howled. For the first time, I felt like a child.I didn’t care about anything else.I only stopped when the moon felt so wholesome. I stared at it for a while before I heard a laugh. When I saw who was laughing, I remembered my father, Brandon Wildknight.“Petra was white like you,” he said. I laid on the ground and curled into a ball. There were a few more gunshots but I didn’t care. It was too much to handle. I hated pain. I hated everything that made me suffer. If this was how shifting worked, I didn’t want it.I heard a crack on my back and then a series of similar sounds followed, but it was slow. So slow that it put me into agony. I wished to sleep it off. Or maybe give my wolf control. Can you take over?‘I am. Why do you think it hurts? It’s because I am taking complete control. Your body is fighting it because you have Wildknight blood.’I felt a warm hand on my hair. It caressed me and then, I smelled something. It was like a smoke that made the pain fade. Slowly, I lost consciousness.Again, my wolf and I were sitting one next to the other. I was conscious of myself so it didn’t sound like a dream and it did
