Chapter 54.Talkative but smart Doctor.Adrian's POV.I woke up to see Galton in my room, he was lying on the mini couch in there and he was sleeping so uncomfortably. I sighed and tried to get out of bed which I succeeded in doing, though very slowly as my body felt so heavily weighted that I had to hold on to things to move. I went to the restroom to ease myself and when I was done, I went back to the room and tapped Galton to wake up and he jolted. "Hey, do you need anything? Are you hungry? How are you feeling now?" Chapter 1. An attempt to save a drunk man. Adrian's pov. It was a bright morning and I scurried out of my room as I wore my clothing, I was in such a hurry not to miss my literature lecture that morning, as I was lagging in the course badly and my final examination was coming soon, I didn't want to cry a bitter tear and stay an extra year in the school. "Mom! I'm off to school!" My voice rang all around the less wealthy home I lived in with my mom and brother. Though our house was less wealthy, it had modesty, humbleness, and love in it. Even though the house was smaller and needed some repairs like the linking roof, and it also didn't have all the latest conveniences, that doesn't mean it's not filled with love and comfort. It was way cozier and more inviting for us since we had each other's back in everything. I sat still on the floor in shock as I looked at my savior who was also on the floor beside me, she was not moving, and I felt my heart skipping a beat. "Is she dead?" I wondered. Chapter 3. Our new lecturer. Adrian pov. It was a Monday morning, I was dressing up in my small, and poorly furnished room, whose painting on the walls was already peeling. The room had stained and worn-out linoleum floors, and it had a few pieces of furniture, which were just my wooden bed reading table, and chair, the room was filled with the smell of cheap detergent. The lighting was a harsh fluorescent which was almost broken as cracks were obvious around it. I tried to make the room look better by adding a few decorations around it and covering the windows in cheap linens, which added a little bit of beauty to the room also, I made the room so neat. I finished dressing up and left my room to the mini dining room, which had just four wooden chairs neatly arranged around a cracked and crippled dinner table in the dining room and a few dishes were placed on the table. I left the lecture room, looking so nervous as I fiddled with my fingers, my heart was beating too fast as I walked towards the office of the new lecturer. If meeting up with him was not so important, then I would have been planning an escape route by now, and I wouldn't have been so nervous. I was nervous about a lot of things and the dominant of all the things was that I feared what he would think of me after seeing my failures, he must hate me immediately and for the fact that he easily fished me out of the multitude of students meant something. A part of me hated the fact that she rejected my money and another part liked it, she was proving to be different, feisty.
